[edit] Andy's house
[edit] Sheriff Woody
Woody is an old-fashioned pull-string stuffed cowboy doll with wooden head and hands. He is Andy's favorite toy since kindergarten, with a special spot on the bed, and is the leader of the toys. In Toy Story 2 it is revealed that he is based on the main character from a 1950s popular TV Show, "Woody's Roundup". He is voiced by Tom Hanks in the two films and by his brother Jim Hanks on other occasions. Woody is inspired by director John Lasseter's favorite childhood toy, a pull-string Casper the Friendly Ghost talking doll.
[edit] Buzz Lightyear
Buzz is a high-tech "Space Ranger from Star Command" action figure whose arrival creates jealosy in Woody. He is voiced by Tim Allen in the films and Patrick Warburton in the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command television show. Buzz is inspired by John Lasseter's G.I. Joe doll and his early name was Tampas From Mars. In the credits of the 2006 film Cars Buzz was a car.
[edit] Slinky Dog
Slinky is a toy wiener dog with a metal slinky for a mid-section. Very loyal to Woody. He was voiced by the late Jim Varney. He is based on Slinky Dog a pull toy by James Industries, who has been popular in 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s.
[edit] Bo Peep
Bo is a sweet and lovable porcelain shepherdess figurine. Bo Peep and her sheep are adornments of Molly's bedside lamp. She is inspired by character of popular children's nursery rhyme Little Bo-Peep. Bo is sometimes considered to be "Andy's toy", because Andy likes to make her the damsel in distress of his plays. Bo is the romantic interest (later girlfriend) of Woody. She is noted for using her shepherd's crook to hook her cowboy and bring him closer in a romantic way. She is voiced by Annie Potts.
[edit] Bo Peep's Sheep
Bo Peep's Sheep is a ceramic genetically-mutant sheep with three heads, who is frequently seen around Bo. It's commonly mistaken for three sheep (it might be meant to be three sheep).

Sarge and his troops frequently help out their fellow toys. Through them the toys discover previously what the kids are gaining of Birthday and Christmas. The voice of Sarge was played by R. Lee Ermey.

Mr. Potato Head is a Mr. Potato Head doll by Playskool. He is outspoken and sarcastic and jealous at one time. The audio commentary on the 10th anniversary DVD jokes that he is an Irish-Catholic. He is voiced by Don Rickles.
[edit] Rex
Rex is a plastic Tyrannosaurus rex with a lot of anxiety from an inferiority complex ("I don't think I could take that kind of rejection!") and he is afraid he is not scary enough. He is a video game freak and is very frustrated that he cannot beat the "Buzz Lightyear" video game. He always reaches the final boss (Zurg) but can never beat him (he thinks that his small arms are to blame, because he "cannot press the fire button and jump at the same time". It was in Toy Story 2 that Rex finds out how to beat Zurg. On their way to save Woody, the gang goes to a toy store, and in one of the stands there is a player's guide for the " Buzz Lightyear" video game. Rex reads it and is overjoyed, for he now knows how to defeat Zurg. The guide states that he needs to go "in the shadows, to the left" in order to win. He is voiced by Wallace Shawn. He has three claws per appendage instead of two. Rex's worst fear (after Sid) is that Andy gains another dinosaur. In Toy Story, he stated that he was made by Mattel. Rex is probably based on the Jurrassic Park Junior T-Rex by Playskool.
[edit] Hamm
Hamm (a.k.a. "Slotted Pig") is a wise-cracking talking ceramic piggy bank who is one of the main characters in both films. His voice is performed by John Ratzenberger, best known for his role as Cliff Clavin on the sitcom Cheers, in both films; Ratzenberger will reprising his voice role as Hamm in Toy Story 3. Hamm looks to be modelled after the pink plastic Piggy Bank by Little Tikes.
Hamm also appears, in car form, in the 2006 Disney/Pixar animated film Cars. In this film, Hamm is again voiced by Ratzenberger (also in Cars John Ratzenberger voices Mack).
[edit] Mrs. Potato Head
Mrs. Potato Head is Mr. Potato Head's wife. Although mentioned as one of Molly's Christmas presents near the end of the first movie, she isn't seen until Toy Story 2. Mrs. Potato Head with her husband are adoptive parents of the Three Squeeze Aliens, that Andy's toys found in the Pizza Planet truck and taken along home. She is voiced by Estelle Harris.
[edit] Wheezy the Penguin
Wheezy is an asthmatic squeeze penguin whom Woody rescued from Yard sale in Toy Story 2. He was about to be sold because his "squeaker" was broken, but at the end of Toy Story 2 he's got a new one and sings the ending theme of the movie. He is modelled on the Linux mascot, Tux [citation needed]; a tribute made to the operating system because most if not all of Toy Story was rendered on Linux machines. Wheezy is voiced by Joe Ranft.
[edit] Etch
Etch is an Etch-A-Sketch magic screen by Ohio Art Company.
[edit] Hockey Puck
Hockey Puck is a hockey puck figurine, who appears only in first Toy Story.

Lenny is a pair of wind-up walking binoculars, voiced by Joe Ranft.
[edit] Mike
Mike is a toy tape recorder by Playskool who helps to Woody turn up his voice when the toys have a staff meeting. At the end of Toy Story 2, he serves as a karaoke machine when Wheezy starts singing.
Mike's name is derived from "mic", the abbreviated form of the word "microphone".

[edit] RC
RC is Andy's remote control Formula and a real demon in a speed. He speaks in "whirring" (he can't talk, but Mr. Potato Head can understand perfectly his motor sounds). He gets his name after the "Tyco R/C" toy line from Mattel.
[edit] Rocky Gibraltar
Rocky is figure of a heavy-weight wrestler, very probably based on Wrestling Superstars collectible wrestling figures made by Hasbro. He is strongest guy in the Andy's room. The same way as Troll, Rocky is silent and plays an unimportant role. Rocky's name and a logo on his Champion belt are a references to the Rock of Gibraltar.
[edit] Snake & Robot
A green-purple jointed rattlesnake with tracked Rock'N Robot by Playskool are the "Jay and Silent Bob" (Robot can talk, but Snake not) of Andy's room. They belong to lesser-known toys.
[edit] Troikas
Troikas are a set of five plastic egg-shaped toys in the style of Matryoshka doll with a pics of those animals: bulldog (largest), cat (the second largest), drake (medium), goldfish (medium) and ladybug (smallest). Troikas are based on Little Tikes Nested Farm Animals.
[edit] Troll
Troll isn't actually a regular character. She is just a pink-haired bikini-clad Female Troll doll with an abnormally cute face. Troll doesn't speak, she only communicated by shaking her head for yes/no questions which has been seen in Toy Story 2. Much like Bo Peep or Mrs. Potato Head, Troll is Molly's toy which stays with toys from Andy's room. It's unknown what kind of troll doll she is, but Troll looks very similar to trolls made by Russ Berrie in the late eighties. Troll is friendly with Bo Peep and Rocky Gibraltar.
[edit] Toddle Tots Fire Truck
Toddle Tots Fire Truck is a set of 90's toddler toys incl. four Fireman Tikes (three Whites and the Black one), their dog and truck by Little Tikes Company. Barrel of Monkeys is old 1960's preschool game by Lakeside Toys. Andy owns early 90's version (with red monkeys and yellow barrel), which is produced by Milton Bradley.
[edit] Magic 8 Ball
Magic 8 Ball is a "fortune-telling" toy by Tyco. In the first Toy Story 8 Ball is seen on Andy's table. In Toy Story 2 8 Ball lies on Andy's top shelf next to forgotten Wheezy and Rock-a-Stack an old dusty baby toy by Fisher-Price.
[edit] Roly Poly Clown
Roly Poly Clown is a rocking chiming clown toy, with a party hat and hand-painted jacket with yellow stripes with two big flowery green buttons. It is a possibility that his name is Clownball - because he's a clown and he is round like a ball. A giant version of this toy can be seen at the end of Monsters Inc.
[edit] Dolly, Teddy & Duckie
Dolly is a blond-haired rag doll, who wears blue tank top and pink skirt. Teddy is a pink teddy bear with a grumpy look in his face and Duckie is a rubber duck. They're Molly's toys that can been seen on Andy's desk in first Toy Story.

Three Barbie Singers are another of Molly's toys. They makes backing vocalists when Wheezy sings his song at the end of Toy Story 2.
[edit] Train
In the first Toy Story, in the scene when Woody shouts "Andy's coming, everybody! Back to your places! Hurry!", a toy train can be seen in the overhead shot.
[edit] Sid's house
[edit] Combat Carl
Carl is Sid's G.I. Joe-type doll who's blown up by a huge M-80, when Sid first enters into scene.
[edit] Mutant Toys
The Mutant Toys are unlucky mutilated toys who live their unhappy lives in the darkest corners of Sid's room. They were built by Sid from mixed pieces of several toys, both his and Hannah's (hence the baby doll's parts). They don't talk (probably due the mutilations they suffered) and look horrifying (in fact, Woody and Buzz think they're cannibals who are going to eat them), but they actually are friendly and timid. They fix Buzz's broken arm and also help Woody realize his plan to save Buzz from the clutches of Sid.
- Babyface - the apparent leader of the mutants, he is a one-eyed Male Baby Doll head atop a spider-like body with crab-like pinchers made of erector set pieces. One way Babyface communicates with the others is by banging in Morse code on the side of Sid's metal bedpost with his big claw. Babyface lives in the shadows under Sid's bed.
- Ducky - the result of triple toy combination: a duck-headed PEZ dispenser with a baby doll torso and plunger base. He is the only one of Sid's toys that can speak in the film (only in "Quacks").
- Legs - the only female mutant toy. She is a toy fishing rod with Barbie doll legs. She is apparently very strong, being able to hold Ducky's and Babyface's weight.
- The Frog - the speediest toy of all: a tin wind-up frog with two different wheels (left is from an erector set and right is from a monster truck) instead of legs. The Frog is missing his left hand.
- RollerBob - an Air force jet pilot action figure whose torso has been attached to a "old school" Mini-skateboard.
- Jingle Joe - another triple toy combination. He is a Combat Carl head staked on top of a Melody Push Chime toddler toy with an arm from a Mickey Mouse figure.
- Hand-in-the-box - a green rubber Frankenstein's Monster-like hand in a Jack-in-the-box casing. Communicates in hand signals.
- Rockmobile - a figure with insect head (it looks like a weird hybrid of fly and praying mantis) who sits in a headless upper torso of Rocky Gibraltar, in which is steering wheel from toy-car. Rockmobile walks on the Rocky doll's hands.
- Walking Car - a yellow 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Hot Wheels car with small baby doll arms. He can very quickly run and climb.
- The Janie Doll and Pterodactyl - Hannah's lovely Rag doll Janie and Sid's creepy toy Pterodactyl are the subjects of Sid's last "operation", called a "double bypass brain transplant" (he ripped off their heads and replaced Janie's head with a pterodactyl's). The mutant toys taped back their heads on the correct bodies. In the scene in which the toys attack Sid, Janie says "Red Rum" in a reference to The Shining (however, this could also be interpreted as merely "Mama").
Also, when Sid is attacked, there can been seen a bunch of other broken toys, including a Squeeze Toy Alien (the one Sid gave to his dog), a burned ragbaby (who repetitively utters "Mama", in a manner similar to that of a basic talking doll), a huge red Pickup truck, a handless soldier with a nail in his head, and a headless soldier with a broken leg.
It is unknown what happens to them after Woody and Buzz leave Sid's backyard.
[edit] Sally
Sally is apparently Hannah's replacement for Janie. After Sid is attacked by the toys, she offers to let him play with her, but Sid runs off in fear.
[edit] Marie Antoinette and her little sisters
Marie Antoinette and her little sisters are a bunch of headless dolls from Hannah's tea party incl. Barbie without her original legs (she has spare legs from a rag doll body), a rag doll in violet bloom dress and dark brown teddy bear. "Marie Antoinette" is probably a nickname based on their headlessness, rather than the actual name of one of the toys.

[edit] Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl
Jessie is a spirited cowgirl doll, voiced by Joan Cusack. Like Woody, Bullseye and Prospector she is member of Roundup Gang. Jessie's originally owner was Emily (female version of Andy). In end of Toy Story 2, Jessie becomes Buzz's girlfriend and is called as "Bazooka Jane" by Andy.

[edit] Evil Emperor Zurg
Emperor Zurg was Buzz Lightyear's arch-enemy, but after he state that he is Buzz Lightyear's father (he states this in a Darth Vader type of voice) Buzz and Zurg seem to develop a real father-son relationship (Zurg is playing catch with Buzz, at the end of the movie, using his ball-shooter). Also, Zurg is the main boss in the "Buzz Lightyear" video game in the movie, and Zurg's design is reminiscent of Darth Vader. His weapon is a ball-shooter in his right hand. Zurg is voiced by Andrew Stanton.
[edit] Tour Guide Barbie
Tour Guide Barbie is a Barbie doll from Al's Toy Barn. She (and all Barbies in that movie) is voiced by Jodi Benson.
[edit] Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots
Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots are a set of two fighting robots by Mattel from Al's office in Toy Story 2. The missing ear on one of robots is a reference to the notorious Mike Tyson - Evander Holyfield match, in which Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield's ear.

The Squeeze Toy Aliens are a bunch of three-eyed space aliens voiced by Jeff Pidgeon in the motion pictures Toy Story and Toy Story 2. These identical toys were prizes in a game of skill at the Pizza Planet restaurant and each one believes that "The Claw" will somehow choose one of them to "go to the outside." Three of these toys are rescued by Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story 2 and become attached to him. Mrs. Potato Head chooses to adopt them.
They also appear in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and the subsequent Buzz Lightyear of Star Command television program. In this series they are an actual alien race and are employed by Star Command as scientists and inventors. They are called "Little Green Men" or "L.G.M." for short.
