Allen Snider

Allen Snider is a video game character from the fighting games Street Fighter EX and Fighting Layer.

[edit] Background

A two-time US Karate champion, Allen was long admired as the strongest karate fighter in America. However in the first round of a tournament, Allen lost to Ken. After the fight, Ken assured him that he was still a big fish in a little pond, and that he must battle on. Inspired, Allen travelled the world in an effort to improve as a fighter.

[edit] Trivia

  • Possessing a fireball (Soul Force) and dragon punch (Rising Dragon), Allen fights in a similar manner to other ansatsuken characters, such as Ken, Ryu, Akuma, Sean and Dan. Where he differs is the incorporation of kickboxing techniques, such as the Triple Break, and his most powerful move, the Justice Fist, a dashing punch so strong it can deflect projectiles.
  • His favorite foods are rice, pizza, and chocolate.
  • Allen is the only shotokan character who calls his moves out in English. Fellow native Anglophones Ken and Sean prefer to use Japanese, although in the American version of the original first Street Fighter game, Ryu would also use English (despite the fact that he is Japanese).
  • Allen is one of only two (possibly three) characters who have the unique status of being canon Street Fighter characters who are not owned by Capcom. He is owned by Arika (who developed the Street Fighter EX series). For this reason, he never appears in the SFEX series after the first game. He later became the main character in Fighting Layer which was published by Namco.

[edit] Akuma

[edit] Area

Area is a brilliant young woman, who is testing her father’s latest inventions, rocket skates and a giant mechanical arm. Area believes that fighters are battle robots.

[edit] Background

After having grown up in a relatively sheltered British family, Blair enthusiastically chose to travel around the world with a friend, eventually deciding to join the (unnamed) martial arts tournament at the core of Street Fighter EX. Though her friend felt uneasy with that, Blair convinced her that between a bodyguard (Darun) and Blair's skill in the martial arts, they should be fine. She also joins her friend Pullum who is seeking revenge against Shadoloo for the death of her grandfather.

[edit] Trivia

  • Blair's fighting style has never been named, though it is appears to be a mixture of savate and wrestling holds. Sharon has a similar style, though hers is mentioned as savate.
  • Blair is one of only two (possibly three) characters who have the unique status of being canon Street Fighter characters who are not owned by Capcom. She is owned by Arika (who developed the Street Fighter EX series). For this reason, she never appears in the SFEX series after the first game. She later became a character in an Arika game called Fighting Layer, which was published by Namco. Blair has a sister named Sharon (who appears in SFEX2 and SFEX3). It is unknown at this time whether Capcom or Arika owns the rights of Sharon.

Doctrine Dark
Doctrine Dark

Doctrine Dark (a.k.a. D. Dark) is a video game character from the Street Fighter EX fighting game series.

Born in Germany, Doctrine Dark once served under the orders of Guile with his own special tactical reconnaissance unit. During his tour of duty, his own unit got into a bit of a scuffle with another rival unit, lead by Rolento. The minor scuffle escalated into a full-on battle, with both sides receiving heavy casualties. Doctrine Dark was the only member of his unit to escape. However, he was severely injured emotionally and physically. Outfitted with a portable breathing apparatus, he eventually escaped from the hospital and went into hiding, only to re-emerge as the deranged psychotic killer Doctrine Dark.

D. Dark holds Guile responsible for the massacre of his unit, and seeks to kill Guile as a result. (The culprit was in fact Rolento.) Only time will tell when he will know the truth.

  • Hayate did not appear in the third game in the EX series.

[edit] Hokuto

Hokuto is a character from the Street Fighter EX series of fighting games. She employs the legendary Mizugami style of fighting.

When Hokuto's brother Kairi develops amnesia and then goes missing, she travels the world to find him and the cause of his memory loss. It is revealed that Kairi has been cursed since birth and was sentenced to be killed by their clan. However, with his memory loss, it is decided that he needs not be killed.

Kairi's disappearance leads him to fall under the control of the dark fighter Akuma. Hokuto attempts to free her brother, but fails and ends up falling under Akuma's control as well.

[edit] Trivia

  • Like Ryu who had Satsui No Hadou (which means Surge of the Intent to Murder), Hokuto also has a dark side called Chi no Fuuin (meaning Seal of Blood). In the US version, both Hokuto and Ryu's respective dark sides are coined as "Evil."
  • Due to her appearance (wearing a kimono, hakama and headband), she has been compared to Kasumi Todoh (a SNK character) who wears the exact same thing.
  • Hokuto could possibly be considered the main character of the SFEX series of the Arika characters.

[edit] Kairi

Kairi is a character in the Street Fighter EX series of fighting games.

He is a student of the legendary Mizugami style along with his sisters, Hokuto and Nanase, but he is also a user of the legendary style of Muay Thai. However, years ago during his training on top of a mountain, he had took a great fall which resulted in him losing his memory. Ever since then, he doesn't know who he is or who he knows. The only thing he remembers is how to fight.

He spends his time searching for fighters all across the world trying to regain his memory and his knowledge of his origin (which is in Japan). Years after his memory loss, he entered a Street Fighter tournament where he reached the finals. He was up against a fighter called Hayate who was Hokuto's lover at the time. Kairi was victorious over the warrior, but gained no memory of who he was.

Another few years had passed and Akuma began to realize Kairi's power and potentials, so he searched all over for him and fought with him. Kairi was badly scarred and was on the verge of death. Akuma was about to finish him off with the Shun Goku Satsu until Kairi threw out a burst of energy within him, but it had nothing to do with the dark hado. It was actually a pure power that was almost impossible for Kairi to control, the positive version of Akuma's.

Since Akuma was still looking for the fighter who could stand against him, he gave an evil smile and said "You will soon be a fighter worthy of a real death match." And so he left Kairi nearly dead, clueless as to how he became so powerful. Kairi no longer cares about regaining his memories of his origins or his family. The only thing he cares about is punishing Akuma for putting the burden of the power on him. For the power is so great that Kairi's body is deteriorating with each second that passes. Only the defeat of Akuma can take the burden off him.

As EX2 surfaced, Kairi killed Akuma, and was deadly powerful, possibly EX's strongest character, as he still searched the earth for any worthy fighters. Akuma was quite possibly, his last: as his sister Hokuto will pack up and begin a search for him. Unfortunately, she will be turned to Kairi's dark ways, and Nanase the weakest of the three, would be the only one left to save her siblings.

(EX3)

Kairi is turned to the light by the kindness of Nanase's heart. Hokuto, now wretched with evil, Kairi attempts to return his sister to the light. Although much more stronger, skilled and powerful than Hokuto, Kairi avoids trying to fight her and powers down his last punch which sends both of them back.

(Detailed information) -Coming soon-

Main article: Ken Masters

[edit] Nanase

Nanase is a character from the Street Fighter EX series of fighting games. Nanase is the younger sister to Hokuto and Kairi.

Like her siblings, she is a master of the Mizugami style of fighting. Because Kairi was cursed and possessed dangerous abilities, he was to be killed by their clan. When he loses his memories, the clan decides that exile is enough.

Kairi disappears and falls under the control of Akuma, which leads Hokuto to search for her brother and either save or destroy him. However, when Hokuto falls under Akuma's control as well, Nanase is left to find both her missing siblings and either free them or eliminate them.

[edit] Sharon Dame

Sharon Dame is a character from the Street Fighter EX series of fighting games. She is the sister of Blair Dame.

She carries a gun with her everytime but seldom use it so as to give her opponent a fair fight. She is a practitioner of savate and is one of the fast characters in the EX series. Her signature moves are Hell Fire and Assault Rifle in which she will perform using her pistol and her rifle respectively.

[edit] Skullomania

Skullomania
Skullomania

Skullomania a character from the Street Fighter EX series of fighting games. According to the storyline, Skullomania was once an average salesman called Saburo Nishikoyama. Tired of his job, Skullomania decided to become a vigilante crime-fighter. Not much else is known of his past. Skullomania closely resembles a Japanese superhero called Kamen Rider, which interestingly enough, was based off of another character from the same creator called Skull Man.

Skullomania has a pet dog named Pochiro Kun.

[edit] Character Changes

Note, on EX2 Plus, Skullomania has a red cape and the letter 'S' on his forehead, while in EX Plus Alpha, he has neither.

[edit] History

Skullomania (スカロマニア完全技表) - His story as stated by Capcom is as follows - His superiors were not pleased with his results as a salesman. Down on his luck and constantly under pressure for results, he volunteered to dress up and perform like a superhero at a carnival thrown for a top customer in their department store. He had hoped it would be chance to prove his value as a salesman. When he grabbed the attention of all in attendance, something clicked in him.

We can assume most of this, as in the ending for EX Plus Alpha, Skullomania is a giant superhero, much like in Japanese television, fighting a creature in a fair ground.

We can also assume from EX2 Plus that Skullomania has a rival names Shadow Geist who dresses very similar to that of Skullomania. His moves are also named similar too.

[edit] Trivia

Skullo was officially used in the Arika game Technictix (2001), released in Japan only.

A character with a very similar look and fighting style to Skullomania appeared in the unpopular Playstation game Fighter Maker.
