List of Scheduled Tribes in India
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a full list of Scheduled Tribes in India, as recognised in India's Constitution. The term "Scheduled Tribes" refers to specific indigenous peoples whose status is acknowledged to some formal degree by appropriate national and state legislation. A collective term in use locally to describe most of these peoples is "Adivasi". See also the articles on tribal peoples (Adivasis) and Scheduled Castes and Tribes for further explanation.
