[edit] Las Plagas
Las Plagas (Spanish for "The Plagues") are the new agent of transformation in Resident Evil 4, unlike the various viruses from previous games. The differences are enormous. Whereas Umbrella's viruses destroy a person's mind and body through mutations, resulting in necrosis of the host's body, Las Plagas are more subtle, invisibly attaching themselves to the victim's central nervous system and seizing control of their mind. Humans infested with Las Plagas, unlike zombies, retain full human appearance and speech capabilities, and seem relatively normal in both behavior and outward appearance. They also retain full human intelligence and are capable of acting collectively. This makes them more dangerous than the various viruses, since they are stronger, more intelligent and organized, as well as being capable of impersonating non-controlled humans.
Ganados have been seen exhibiting such socially unacceptable behaviours as attacking outsiders, murdering each other, eating rotten and otherwise damaged food, and possibly committing acts of cannibalism. They also do not bother to keep their surroundings sanitary (e.g. by not cleaning their toilet facilities and beds, and leaving their food and murdered victims to rot in various places, such as in barns and in their dwellings). It is unclear if these behaviors are influenced by their circumstances and orders of the person in control of the Queen Plaga, or actual personality changes in the persons infected by the Las Plagas.
Las Plagas are extremely sensitive to light as they will only emerge from their respective host body at night, and even then only after the body sustains enough damage, or if its head is destroyed. The head of the host may either be destroyed completely and replaced by the parasite, or the parasite may emerge from the mouth/neck of the Ganado. The Plaga then takes control of the remaining body. However, due to their photosensitivity, Las Plagas can be disabled with the use of an extreme light source such as a flashbang grenade.
Several varieties of Plaga may be seen during the course of the game. Some appear as the result of damage to certain parts of the host's body, such as the head, or are plainly seen and actively attempt to aid their host in attacking its target, and may be seen either in part as a protrusion out of its host's body, or in whole as a detached entity. It is unclear if these are actually different varieties or mutations of plaga or if they represent various levels of maturity. The following is a list of non-unique Plagas or their parts as seen ingame.
- Blade plagas, found in villagers and commandos, which emerge from their host's severed neck, have a number of smaller tentacles that swing back and forth and are harmless, but one tentacle is quite long and has a blade at the end and attempt to harm their opponent by swinging that blade at them. Most likely the most dangerous of all Plaga forms, as their attack is fairly long-ranged and quite harmful.
- Centipede plagas, which may emerge from the opened necks of zealots, and attack by swallowing their opponent's head whole. Most likely the least dangerous of all Plaga forms, as their attack is fairly easy to predict and dodge, and requires a shorter distance than Blade Plaga's attacks.
- Spider plagas, which may emerge from zealots and commandos necks, capable of detaching from their hosts. They will eventually perish after detaching. While still attached they can spit acid at medium range. They can also strike enemies with their legs, either while attached or separate (though they deal more damage attached.)
- Whip-like protrusions, found in Colmillos, and unlike previous forms, they are not spawned as a result of damage, but rather they are simply spawned randomly after the Colmillos has found an enemy. They attack by whipping their enemy.
- Leech-like plagas, most of which can only be seen using an infrared scope, found on Regenerators and Iron Maidens. They sustain the regenerative powers of both monsters, but are harmless on their own.
[edit] Los Ganados
Los Ganados (from Spanish, literally meaning plural for The Cattle or The Livestock. It might also mean The Earned. The word ganado has no plural in Spanish) are the primary enemies in the game and serve as a replacement for the zombies in previous games. Ganados are humans who have become infested by the mind-controlling Las Plagas parasites. Ganados look and behave like ordinary people, with their only distinguishable feature being the fact that their eyes sometimes glow red at night.
Ganados are much more dangerous than the zombies found in previous Resident Evil games. Ganados are much faster and stronger than zombies, and they are also smarter, capable of following complex instructions and acting collectively. Unlike zombies however, their nervous systems remain intact to a much larger extent, leaving them with one weakness: pain. A hard enough hit to a vital area will faze and stun them for a few seconds. Their ability to blend in with non-controlled humans is limited by their sometimes reddish eyes, though they are only immediately obvious in low-light conditions.
Humans infected with the Las Plagas parasites can be controlled, through unknown means, by the person in control of the Queen Egg; in this case, Lord Saddler. In one of Ada's reports, she suggests that it is possible that the Queen issues commands through high pitched sound waves, the same principle found in dog whistles. It is unknown to what extent Ganados are aware of their fate, as they are generally uncommunicative to outsiders.
There are three main types of Ganados found in the game (by order of appearance): Villagers (Los Ganados), Zealots (Los Illuminados) and Soldiers (Militia). An official Capcom walk-through book states that the weapon merchant is also a Ganado. (Evidence for this is that it will run away from Leon, if other Ganados are around.)
[edit] Villagers
The villagers were once peaceful residents of a rural Spanish community until they were exposed to the parasites. From that point, they became ruthless savages under Osmund Saddler's control. The Ganados' lives look somewhat normal and they have been seen carrying out normal farming tasks. However, grisly corpses found throughout the village suggest that the Ganados are cannibals. The drinking water of the village and the living conditions of Saddler's soldiers are very primitive and unsanitary. When Leon first arrives at the village, he is immediately attacked by one of the villagers after questioning him about Ashley's whereabouts. The villagers are underpowered compared to other Ganados, as their arsenal is comprised mostly of farming tools, which includes pitchforks, hatchets, sickles, knives and a few carry dynamite. Early in the game, female ganados attack Leon with knives and pitchforks among their male companions. Upon completion of the game, a series of sketches posing as the background for the credits serves as a chilling flashback of the earlier days of the unnamed village. What was once a joyful community happily distanced from the modern world, populated with farmers and their children, became corrupt as Osmund Saddler arrived, and the workers were infected with spores during the Plaga excavation, causing families to become savage and turn against one another. It appears that the children, being weak and useless to Saddler's plans, were either killed off or died of neglect. At the beginning of the game, a Ganado is burning something in the fire; upon closer inspection, one can see small human bones, possibly of the Ganado's own child or a freshly-killed intruder. The villagers, though rather filthy-looking, still appear to be the most "human" out of the three types of Ganados. It can also be noted that the Villager Ganado character models are the only standard Ganados that have names of their own, as seen on the bottlecap figurines obtained in the shooting gallery.
[edit] Zealots
The zealots are members of the Los Illuminados cult and appear in Ramon Salazar's castle. They are dressed in clerical robes bearing the cult's insignia. The color of their robe indicates their rank. The colors are black for the lowest rank, red for the middle rank, and purple for the highest rank. The zealots are better equipped than the villagers, using a variety of medieval arms. Also, their robe style changes as Leon progresses further into Salazar's castle, which includes some high-ranking zealots wearing bulletproof skull-masks that make headshots impossible. The highest ranking members wear purple robes and goat skull masks and are hard to kill. They wield weapons ranging from scythes, flails, crossbows and wooden shields. Smaller numbers carry dynamite or even rocket launchers. Possibly due to their extreme devotion to Lord Saddler and their cult, as well as their more advanced level of Plaga assimilation, they look and behave significantly less "human" than the village peasants; unlike the villagers who can walk, run, speak and carry out daily tasks normally, the Zealots seem more detached from the world, shuffling around, mumbling "Muere, muere, muere" (Die, die, die) and "Morir es vivir" (To die is to live.) Their skin is much paler than that of the Villagers, and all of them appear to be bald as well. Some have crimson lesions covering their faces while others appear to have tattoos covering their faces as well. Those with scythes are capable of decapitating Leon with a critical blow.
[edit] Soldiers
The soldiers are members of Saddler's mercenary organization, assigned to protect his island complex. They are generally better equipped than other Ganados, and run faster, even striking the player character while in motion. They can be seen carrying stun rods, flails, wooden shields, RPGs, dynamite, crossbows, gas masks and bullet-proof helmets. The soldiers' voices sound much less human than previous variants, and their pitch ranges from loud shrieks to guttural roars. A few burly soldiers carry massive hammers and thick, bulletproof metal armor, as well as thick pieces of metal literally welded to their faces. Curiously, with the exception of JJ with his mini-gun and the RPG wielders, no foot soldier actually carries a firearm.
[edit] Notable Ganados
- Dr. Salvador - With an appearance resembling a combination of Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th Part 2 and Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dr. Salvador is a plump Ganado who wears overalls and a potato sack-like mask who chases after intruders with his chainsaw. He is far more durable than a regular Ganado, and is capable of decapitating his prey with a single strike if allowed to get in close. Ironically, his name would be Dr. Savior in English, which was likely done on purpose by Capcom as a joke.
Unlike most other ganados, Dr. Salvador's body does not disintegrate after he is killed, a trait he shares with some of the Leader zealots in Salazar's castle. He can be encountered twice the first time a player is in the village "pueblo" (upon entering the house that holds the Shotgun and in front of gate that leads out of the pueblo), and for a second time outside Chief Mendez's house. An even sturdier Salvador appears in the mine under Ramon Salazar's castle, and one more plus another Ganado which looks similar to Dr. Salvador (save for being slightly shorter and wearing an unbuttoned gray jacket over a yellowish-white button shirt, a bloodier sack over his head, and his chainsaw has a larger blade) appear in Salazar's underground tomb. They appear again in the mine cart ride and are never seen again for the rest of the game. An unnamed variation of Dr. Salvador (known unofficially as Mr. Salvador or Dr. Salvador X by fans) also appears in "The Mercenaries" minigame as a sub-boss in the "Waterworld" stage, is about eight feet tall and highly resistant to even the most powerful firearms (although he is not invincible and can be killed, giving a huge point bonus) and wields a double-bladed chainsaw which on close inspection is on fire and wrapped in chains.he swings it wildly causing instant decapitation if it contacts. His infuriating laugh is audible over the "You are dead" animation.
- The Bella Sisters - Two bandage clad female Ganados who recklessly wield long-bladed chainsaws. They wear bandages covering their faces, but are otherwise clothed in the same way as other female Ganados, and their shared title translates to the Beautiful Sisters, an in-joke.
- J.J. - A giant Ganado who wields a M134 Vulcan Minigun and fires it relentlessly, with brief pauses in between barrages. He wears a red beret and an eye patch over his right eye with the symbol of the "Los Illuminados" cult. He is known to swing his enormous firearm against his opponents at close range.
[edit] Colmillos
Colmillos (from Spanish, meaning fangs, in reference to the canine teeth) are wolves that have been implanted with Plaga parasites. They act like guard dogs for the Ganados. As such, they can be considered the equivalent of the "Cerberus", or "Zombie Dog" creatures from previous games. The player will meet both a regular colmillo, which acts like an over-aggressive wolf, and the colmillos in which the plagas are more obviously developed-- into gigantic, flailing tentacles. They generally appear to be more intelligent and more aggressive in their attacks than the Ganados, and attack either by having their parasite's tentacles flail at their victim, or by tackling it and attempting to rip its throat out. The Colmillos hunt in packs of two to four. They are possibly inspired by the husky dog from John Carpenter's The Thing, which also once appeared with tentacles sprouting from its back. Curiously, if a player throws any variety of grenade, Colmillos will try to catch it, in mid air between their teeth, often succeeding and being killed in the explosion. In the maze,(during the castle stage)shooting one of the two colmillos in the cage will set the other one free. If you fail to kill the one you shot, both will race towards you, and knock down the gate in front of you,(if you had not already opened it).
[edit] Novistador
The Novistador is a giant insect-like creature that was created from experiments with human specimens (Diferentiated from an actual giant insect by its large chest, hinting at developed lungs, and by its four-limbed structure) by Los Illuminados and appears to be the Resident Evil 4 equivalent to the Hunters of former Resident Evil games, and surely enough, if Leon is very injured and hit by a claw swipe, his head is ripped clean off his shoulders: the Hunter's trademark finishing blow. The Novistador can also be considered an equivalent of the Chimeras in previous games because of its insectoid appearance. Its name is a portmanteau of the Spanish words No and Vista ("No" and "View") and the noun suffix of dor. As such, the name Novistador can be translated as the "Unseen Creature," but literally means Nosighter.
The name refers to the creature's ability to render itself invisible to the naked eye by changing the color of its exoskeleton. This may also be a reference to the "no-see-um', a species of small, biting flies in the family Ceratopogonidae. There are three types of Novistadors in the game. The first type encountered has the ability to turn invisible, while the second type may also turn invisible but differs in that it is completely white. The third type, encountered later in the game, does not turn invisible, but has the ability to fly. When invisible, the Novistadors can be spotted by their glowing eyes (which change color intermittently), the ripples they make when moving through shallow water, their constant drooling, visible breath (they seem to be fought primarily in cold areas) and their loud skittering noises. Novistadors often fight in packs of two to four and have wings attached to their backs. They attack with their claws and spit acid at their enemies, the latter of which, if used as a fatal blow, will leave Leon's face partially burned to the skull. Leon encounters the Novistadors during certain areas of Salazar's castle. They can be dispatched easily while flying, as any damage whatsoever, even a single bullet from a weak gun, will be fatal to them.
[edit] Garrador
The Garrador, (which means "Clawer" in Spanish) also known as The Blind Prisoner, is a warrior (possessed by a Plaga parasite) who wears equipment resembling those worn by gladiators and appears in certain areas of Salazar's castle. The Garrador is equipped with large claws on each hand, which can be extended and retracted at will. The Garrador is a very brutal creature who will indiscriminately attack anyone and anything in its path and is usually kept under strong restraint. Garradors use their metal claws to stab and slash at their enemies, resulting in severed limbs, decapitations and other equally gruesome mutilations. If the Garrador kills a character with its charging attack, their head is impaled and the Garrador lifts them from the floor in triumph, then pierces them in the lower portion of the stomach. Each pair of claws is different. One is straight and used for impaling the head and the other is slightly curled used for piercing the stomach. Because of these claws and generally brutal behavior, the Garradors have been compared to the Hunters of previous Resident Evil games.
Garradors are almost blind, only able to see about two feet in front of them due to their sutured eyes. Instead, they rely on their sense of hearing to track down intruders, and are easily distracted by loud noises. Walking slowly will prevent a Garrador from hearing its target, as long as it is done at a safe distance, as a Garrador is able to hear its target regardless of movement when in extreme proximity. Notably, in the Mercenaries minigame, when the characters Jack Krauser or Albert Wesker are being played on the Castle Level (the only level containing Garradors) Krauser's bow and Wesker's silenced handgun won't alert the Garrador. Garradors will become enraged when very loud noises are made, such as by bells, and are prone to charging in the direction of the noise and striking at its source, oftentimes resulting in one of their claws being temporarily embedded in a wall or other object.
A Garrador's weak spot is the exposed Plaga parasite on its back, which is vulnerable to gunfire. Some Garradors wear extensive armour, encasing all of their torso, excluding their back.
Garradors are sometimes considered Ganados by fans because of them appearing in "The Mercenaries" minigame which says, "Eliminate as many Ganados as you can," at the beginning. If this is so, Garradors could be considered the Castle version of Dr. Salvador or JJ.
[edit] Armadura
Armadura (from Spanish, meaning armor) is a Plaga parasite that has taken possession of a suit of plate armor from Salazar's castle, which provides a sturdy defense. They attack with medieval weapons, such as broadswords and halberds. Their helmets are loosely attached, and once removed will expose a part of the inhabiting Plaga, which is extremely vulnerable to bright lights, e.g. from flash grenades. There are two varieties of the Armadura: one in a lighter-colored armor, which tends to contain a scythe-tentacle parasite, while the darker of the two will contain a centipede-type Plaga that is incredibly dangerous due to its instant-death headbite.
Additionally, some Armaduras may attempt to ambush their victims by staying still until their target approaches, at which point they attempt to hit the target with their axes, and will then invariably disintegrate from the stress of the blow, whether it be to the opponent or to the floor.
Strangely enough, Armaduras are the only plaga-infected enemy in the game which do not consist of a both living host and the invading parasite. This raises the question of how exactly the suits of armor are being controlled, (a Japanese walk-through book states that the Plaga inside has webbed it's tentacles in the shape of a human body inside of the armor) because in all other cases, the plagas takes over the mind of its victim, and manipulates it chemically or biophysically (psychically?) but never plain physically. No doubt though, there is no true explanation except for the fact that the designers desired a certain effect and atmosphere enhancer that could only come from a truly "empty" suit of armor, as opposed to one with a zealot inside (who in turn harbored a plagas within himself). The fact that living suits of armor were present in a beta version of the game seems to suggest this.
[edit] Regenerator
A Regenerator is a mutated humanoid created from experiments with Las Plagas and human specimens: according to the notes of Luis Sera, they are the most "clearly distinguishable" creatures born from Saddler's experiments. A Regenerator's most distinguishable characteristics are its wide, lipless mouth, sharp, irregular teeth, its pale mottled skin, lack of genitalia, and bulging torso. They have a superb metabolism that enables them to regenerate lost body parts in a matter of seconds, and are extremely resistant to direct damage, but are unable to live without the leech-shaped Plagas which inhabit them, which are only visible to the human eye through thermal imaging equipment. Every time a Plaga is destroyed the Regenerator's flesh begins to expand and ripple, emitting a smoky substance and exposing writhing tentacles. When a Regenerator has lost all inhabiting Plagas its tissue will begin to expand rapidly due to uncontrolled cellular production and will explode spectacularly, leaving only its legs.
They resemble the Heaven Smiles creatures from the video game Killer 7, and share certain characteristics with them. Regenerators can easily be heard wheezing and breathing erratically, a clear sign of their presence, and they also have their own highly distinctive theme tune which plays whenever one has noticed the player (with the exception of the final Regenerator encountered in the game. This tune is also played during a part of Ashley's solo adventure in the castle). The Regenerators appear to have either no skeletal system or a very flexible one, as they can stretch out their gangly limbs like rubber bands to pull opponents closer and attack them with their wide, gaping mouths. They also demonstrate the ability to slither on the ground at impressive speeds after one of their legs has been shot off, and their slithering movement is in fact faster than their normal ambling method of movement. They can also leap from a prone position at Leon and kill him. Their wheezing and erratic breathing are caused by a larger than normal heart pressing the lungs against the rib cage.
The Regenerator can range from having two to five parasites depending on difficulty level and location encountered. In Professional Mode all Regenerators have a fifth parasite on their back. Also note that the Regenerator in the prison has a fifth parasite regardless of difficulty level, making it somewhat like an Iron Maiden without the spikes. It is unknown if they were once male or female due to the the lack of distinguishing features to that effect. From information found in a final note from the late Luis Sera, the Novistadors, Colmillos, Del Lago, and other extra-mutated creatures were simply by-products created while trying to reach the ultimate goal of creating a Regenerator.
[edit] Iron Maiden
An Iron Maiden is a variation of the Regenerator with the added ability to generate sharp spikes from its skin. They are able to latch onto their targets and cause devastating damage by embracing and thus impaling them with their spikes (which fans dub 'the bear hug') . They have a slightly slower gait than the Regenerators, possibly due to their constant twitching and shivering- on the other hand, they can crawl much faster than normal Regenerators. They also have no visible eyes, while their Regenerator cousins each have a pair of glowing red eyes. Iron Maidens also have considerably higher stamina than the Regenerators, as they contain more leech-shaped parasites. One of these parasites is on the back of the Iron Maiden, posing additional difficulties for anyone attempting to disable the creature by killing its parasites. They are nearly impossible to kill without destroying all of their parasites and in order to do so requires a great amount of direct damage (though the player can save considerable health and ammunition by shooting off a leg of the creature, causing it to fall forward and expose the parasite on its back. Although causing it to fall will make it slither with a little more speed than it would if it was walking). The spikes appear to be grafted within the creatures, as other bits of metal can be seen protruding from the skin around where its eyes should be located.
[edit] Del Lago
Del Lago (which means literally "from the lake", and can be interpreted as Lake Dweller) is a massive aquatic creature resembling the giant salamander that is over twenty meters (sixty feet) long and lives in a lake in the village. The creature was awakened from its slumber by Saddler after Leon's arrival. This creature also ate the dead body of one of the police officers who escorted Leon to the village. Leon encounters the creature as he tries to cross the lake in a motorboat. The monster gets pierced by his boat's anchor and drags him along, effectively tethering the boat. Leon fights the Del Lago by throwing harpoons at its mouth, back, and sides. After the creature dies, Leon's leg gets caught in the anchor rope that is still attached to Del Lago, and must quickly cut himself free to avoid being pulled underwater along with him and into a gruesome drowning death.
A secret death scene can also be triggered with Del Lago. If the player stands on the dock before crossing the lake, and shoots the water six times, Del Lago will lunge out of the water and eat the player in a single gulp, causing an instant death.
[edit] El Gigante
El Gigante (literally The Giant) are creatures created by Los Illuminados from experiments with Las Plagas and human specimens. They heavily resemble various depictions of trolls, in particular the cave trolls in the The Lord of the Rings movies. Standing roughly ten meters (thirty feet) tall, the monsters have tough gray skin that is thick enough to be largely bulletproof. Sufficient damage will force them to their knees and expose their plaga parasite, their primary weak spot.
Despite its singular name, there is actually more than one Gigante at Saddler's disposal. The second one occurs if a player chooses the path to the right after the area where the player is trapped in a cabin but does not have to be killed and can simply be distracted then evaded still reaching the next area. Also later on in the Castle mines, the player character encounters two Gigantes at the same time, one in chains, the other with a bandanna over its mouth, which are unofficially referred to as "Dos Gigantes", literally Two Giants. One of them can be killed by dunking it in lava, but care must be taken as it will still thrash about for several seconds and can grab Leon if he is close enough, resulting in a fiery instant death.
Despite their ability to use tools like boulders and tree trunk clubs, the Gigantes have a limited intellect, and do not show any signs of loyalty to their Ganado keepers, in fact killing several intentionally.
[edit] Verdugo
The Verdugo (Executioner) are the mutated bodyguards of Ramon Salazar. One Verdugo (whom Ramon refers as his "right hand" but is often seen in cut-scenes to Salazar's left side.) is dressed in a red robe with black trim; the other is dressed in a black robe with red trim. Underneath the robes are humanoid creatures, with insectoid exoskeletons, long tails which sport sharp sickle-like blades on the ends, which are used for surprise attacks. Interestingly, while the creatures are well equipped naturally, they use long spears to keep Ashley in check when she is a prisoner, instead of their formidable tails. Although both appear black the "right hand" is actually a darker shade of slate blue and looks black due to the limited lighting. The creatures visually resemble the Xenomorph. Notably, the mandibles on their faces also resemble the Predator. The Verdugo's exterior is almost completely bullet-proof, but is weakened by exposure to liquid nitrogen, and while frozen it is more vulnerable to weapons fire and explosives, and will be shattered into a multitude of pieces if hit with sufficient explosive force at once. The Verdugo possesses keen agility and exceptional combat capabilities, making it one of the most dangerous creatures Leon must contend with.
The second Verdugo merges with a mutated plant along with Salazar. This Verdugo forms the large snake-like head of the merged entity.
It is hinted in the game that the Verdugo are Salazar's butlers. Despite their obvious loyalty, the journal entry that says this also states that they are displeased with his "madness".
The Verdugo's names play out in a humorous scene in which Salazar warns Leon that he will be sending his "right hand" after him. Leon casually replies, "Your right hand comes off?"
[edit] U3 (It)
The U3 (referred to as 'It' by Saddler) is a creature that was created by splicing genes from reptiles, insects and a human into one organism. It goes after its prey with unmatched agility. Saddler sends the U3 to kill Leon while he is exploring an underground cave in the island complex. The U3 is fought in two stages. Initially a centaur-like creature with one tentacle-like arm, a distended, bisected mandible and an enlarged tongue, Leon's weapons are only used to drive off the monster temporarily so as to freely move about in a maze of shipping containers in large suspended cages. Partway through this sequence, an enormous worm-like Plaga erupts from the creature's back and attacks with enlarged, scissor-like jaws capable of bisecting Leon at the waist if the U3 is allowed to seize him. The erupted Plaga is the U3's weak point, as it is more vulnerable to damage than its host. Later on, on solid ground, Leon finally manages to kill the U3. There the U3 shows its ability to dive underground in an instant and burst out unexpectedly. Partway through the real battle with U3, the main body dies, and the Plaga can be seen dragging it along to continue the fight. This could hint at them being seperate entities. Also when fighting U3 you can distract it by closeing gates in front of it thus giving you a couple of seconds of free shots
[edit] Snakes
A snake is a normal snake, likely indigenous to the region the game is set in. They will only attack if the boxes that they have been staying in are opened, propelling themselves toward the player character from their positions, causing very slight damage to their target. Despite the diamond-shaped head characteristic of some poisonous snakes, they do not appear to possess any kind of venom. Snakes are commonly found in small boxes, where they may either have been kept or gone into themselves for some reason, or in swamps, where they may be seen propelling themselves through water, suggesting that they may be an aquatic species of snake. Snakes usually drop chicken eggs when killed.
