  • Narrowly defeated the Toyohashi Tengu (from Japan) in 1994.
• Grodzisk Goblins (Poland)
  • Club of Józef Wroński (Josef Wronski), arguably the world's most innovative Seeker.
  • Have a Chaser named Władysław Zamojski (Wladyslaw Zamojski).
• Heidelberg Harriers (Germany)
  • Described as "fiercer than a dragon and twice as clever" by Irish captain Darren O'Hare.
  • After a defeat of the Holyhead Harpies in 1953, Heidelberg captain Rudolf Brand proposed marriage to his opposite number, Gwendolyn Morgan.
• Karasjok Kites (Norway)
  • Lost the 1956 European Cup final to the Caerphilly Catapults.
• Quiberon Quafflepunchers (France)
  • Wear shocking pink robes and are known for flamboyant play.
  • Frequent winners of the French League.
• Vratsa Vultures (Bulgaria)
  • Probably the greatest of all European teams.
  • Were European champions in 1932, but lost to the Appleby Arrows.
  • Pioneers of the long goal (shooting from outside the scoring area).
  • Always ready to give new players a chance to make a name for themselves.

  • Defeated the Quiberon Quafflepunchers (from France) after a five-day match in 1993.

  • Have won the US League seven times.
  • Seeker Maximus Brankovitch III has captained USA at the last two World Cups.

• America (presumably the USA)
  • Captained by Maximus Brankovitch III
• Bulgaria
  • Losing finalists of the 1994 World Cup. Seeker is Viktor Krum, considered to be the best Seeker in the world.
• England
  • Lost to Transylvania, 320-10 in the 1994 World Cup
• Flanders
  • Finalists of the first ever World Cup, in 1473.
  • (Flanders was in 1473 an independent territory, but is now a largely self-governing region of Belgium.)
• India (possibly)
  • (An Indian team is never mentioned in the books, but an Indian flag is visible during the World Cup scene of the fourth movie.)
• Ireland
  • Winners of the 1994 World Cup.
  • (It is not specified in the books whether Ireland in this case refers to the entire island of Ireland, which in the real Muggle world fields a single team in some sports such as rugby union, or the Republic of Ireland, which has separate representation from Northern Ireland in other sports such as football (soccer).)
• Luxembourg
• Peru
  • "Flattened" by Ireland in the 1994 World Cup

• Banchory Bangers were disbanded by the order of the Ministry of Magic after flouting wizarding secrecy laws in 1814 (they allowed the Bludgers to escape and they set out to capture a dragon to use as their mascot.)

  • Include the first ever Quidditch teams, Goodwin Kneen's Yorkshire team, a team from Ilkley, teams of locals from Norfolk and teams from Cork and Lancashire.
