[edit] Edward Falcon

He is also known as Fokker in the Japanese version, is the main character of Power Stone. Falcon is age 21, weighs 160 pounds, measures 5'11" and has a fighting style of boxing. He is the son of Pride Falcon, who is playable in Power Stone 2 after unlocking him. He is from London. He is a very well rounded character. His moves mostly involve rockets when in Power Fusion (Red Whirlwind), such as:

  • Power Missile; he fires his fist which becomes a fist-like missile
  • Power Hurricane; he takes off into the air forming a spiraling cyclone-like pillar of fire (not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Power Rocket
  • Power Explosion; missiles appear all around his body and they all explode on their targets.

In the anime, London seems to be Sun Land, he likes Rouge too, and so does Ryoma.

In the anime, Edward Falcon goes on a journey to find his father Pride Falcon. In the first few episodes at Sun Land, his father sends him a Power stone, which he learns how to use. He also meets Ryoma, who wants to fight Falcon, and Rouge, a fortune teller. Octo and Pus, called the Octopus Twins, are after Falcon's Power Stone. He later meets Ayame and her big brother, who is disguised as a girl, who are also after the power stone. Rouge then tells Falcon to travel on a journey to go around the world, Sun Land, Wood Land, Fire Land, Gold Land, Dark Land, Soil Land. Falcon likes Rouge, although Ayame likes him, and Rouge likes Ryoma but not Falcon. Only once was Apollis able to transform by Power Change using Falcon's Power Stone. Jack and Apollis are able to use Falcon's Power Stone.
In the Power Stone game, Falcon obtains the Power Stone he was searching for and as the cave crumbles, Pride catches him on his plane. However, Falcon drops the Power Stone, and blames it on Pride and his 'sloppy driving'

Power Stone Collection Bio Hailing from the town of Londo, noble Falcon circles the world in his beloved "Hockenheim" airplane, searching for the Power Stones revealed in an ancient artifact passed down through his family. Always a gentelman with strong sense of justice, he has trained in boxing and vanquishes evil with sharp moves and explosive punches

Falcon's Romance: Falcon likes Rouge, Rouge doesn't like Falcon, Ayame likes Falcon, but Falcon doesn't like Ayame, and a girl named Cassie also likes Falcon, who married Gunrock later. It may be possible that Julia might like Falcon too.

Character Analysis: Falcon is the main character and is an all around character, so he shouldn't have any weaknesses. In Power Stone Collectiom, Falcon unlocks the Soccer Ball.

[edit] Rouge

She is a fortune teller from the town of Mahdad, a character in Power Stone. Rouge is age 23, weighs 105 pounds, measures 5'6" and has a Gypsy Dancing fighting style. Rouge is slower than Ayame but she is stronger. Her power change is of the fire type, she is called Scorching Beauty

  • Hellfire Sign (Sigh of Hellfire in Power Stone collection)
  • Dream Temptation (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Fiery Trap
  • Secret Heaven
  • Summon Giant; a fireball attack from her hands

Rouge is a fortune teller from Fire Land, she meets Falcon in the first episode of the anime. Rouge likes Ryoma, but Falcon likes Rouge too. Rouge was raised by an oracle named Mistress Ganna. When she travels to Fire Land, her crystal ball reveals itself a power stone. Like Ryoma and Ayame, she travels along with Falcon on his quest.

Power Stone Collection Bio Rouge the Gypsy fortuneteller is exotic, with a mysterious, refined presence. Guided by signs in her crystal ball, she is dancing her way around the world in a search for the famed Power Stones. Even in the battle arena her graceful moves look more like dancing than fighting. She can wield fire as easily and naturally as her own arms and legs, putting the heat on any opponent who stands in her way.

Character Analysis: With her speed and long range Power Drives and powerful Power Fusion, she may be a top tier character. In Power Stone Collection, she unlocks the Crystal Ball.

[edit] Wang-Tang

Wang-Tang is from the town of Tong-An. He is a very fast character, but his strength isn't quite that strong. Wang Tang is age 19, weighs 123 pounds, measures 5'5" and has a Kung Fu fighting style. When Wang Tang picks up an item, he says "lucky", where the characters in Power Stone speak Japanese. In Power Stone 2, he does not talk when doing a Power Fusion. Wang Tang's power fusion resembles moves from a Super Saiyan from Dragonball Z. He is called Agile Dragon

  • Ryuugadan (Dragon Fang Bomb)
  • Ryuu Taifuu (Dragon Storm)[Not used in Power Stone 2]
  • Dairyuudama (Big Dragon Ball)
  • Butenryuubu (Dragon Dance)[Not used in Power Stone 2]

In the anime, Wang-Tang is a cook in Wood Land. He trains at Manpuku temple, he does not travel with Falcon and has many absences in the anime.

Power Stone Collection Bio A master martial artist from the town of Tong-Ang, Wangtang follows his master's instructions for his final test: collect the legendary stones that shine like no other jewels in the world. Roaming the world in search of the Power Stones, and testing his skills along the way, Wangtang's optimistic personality belies his deadly martial art skills.

Character Analysis: He has very good speed but low defense, and his Power Change meter is consumed very quickly, but he may be a high tier character. In Power Stone Collection, he unlocks the Twin Potion.

[edit] Ryoma

Ryoma is from the town of Mutsu. Ryoma is age 19, weighs 134 pounds, measures 5'7" and has a samurai fighting style. Ryoma is of the samurai type and uses his sword before and during power change. Ryoma has a long range with his katanas and has decent speed but when he misses on attack, he is open to attack. He is called Master Swordsman.

  • Raijinken
  • Iazan [Raizan in Power Stone Collection (Not used in Power Stone 2)]
  • Midare Zantou
  • Tenchi Ryoudan
  • Spray of Knives (anime); he creates golden crescent shockwaves with multiple slashes with his sword
  • Lightning; his sword powers up with a lightning bolt

In the anime, Ryoma is from Moon land, and always wants to fight with Falcon. He travels along with Edward Falcon in his quest. He and Ayame are afraid of spiders. Ryoma likes Rouge and she likes him, but at the end of the series he returns to his training to let Rouge be the new oracle of her town.
In the game, he is the only character who does not use the Power stone in the ending.

Power Stone Collection Bio Originally a low-level warrior from an island nation, Ryoma soon ran out of worthy opponents with whom to test his might. He set out on a rowboat journey to find a new place to roam. He gives his all to everything he does. When faced with evil he does not hesitate a moment to cut it down.

Character Analysis: When he misses, he is left open to attack, he can chain his Power Fusion very well, but the results in quick consuming of his Power Change meter. His tier may be high. In Power Stone Collection, he unlocks the Amenomurakuno.

[edit] Ayame

She is a ninja from the town of Oedo. Ayame is age 16, weighs 93 pounds, measures 5'2" and has a ninjitsu fighting style. She is a very fast character, although she is physically weak. Her moves are of the ninja type, where her power drives and fusions involve shurikens. She is called the Cherry Blossom Dancer

  • Flower Shuriken
  • Cherry Blossom Hide (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Hundred Flower Bloom
  • Cherry Blossom Dance (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Come Forth Rain; spins her giant shuriken in her hands to control the weather (in the anime)
  • Hundred Flower Power (Power Stone 2)

In the anime, she is an entertainer and was after Falcon's power stone. Ayame is from Moon Land, like Ryoma. She has a big brother named Kikonojo, who dresses like a woman, who seems to like Falcon. After Ayame tells Falcon that she was after his Power Stone, her brother stops dressing like a woman. In the start of the anime while in Moon Land, she shows off an amazing ability to control water in all its forms. Ayame seems to like Falcon.

Power Stone Collection Bio Officially, Ayame is the energetic star artiste in a traveling troupe. Secretly she is descended from a ninja family and is herself a master ninja who can toy with her foes with daring feats of acrobatic grace. On a secret mission from her master, she is on a quest to acquire the legendary Power Stones.

Character Analysis: Ayame is one of the fastest characters, but makes her very physically weak. In Power Stone, she throws very slowly and takes lots of damage. Her Cherry Blossom Dance was easy to avoid and did not do much damage. In Power Stone 2, she became stronger and can throw better. In Power Stone Collection, she unlocks the Decoy Bomb.

[edit] Jack

Unlike all the other Power Stone characters, Jack crawls. Jack's age is unknown (though it was rumored that he could be 15, but since the anime has mentioned he is over 100 years old, then he could possibly be 115), weighs 112 pounds, measues 6'3" and has an original fighting style. He and Ryoma are the only two characters in Power Stone to wield a weapon, until that changed in Power Stone 2 where Gourmand and Julia wield a weapon. Jack is from the town of Manches. He could possibly be an homage to Jack the Ripper. His moves mostly involve blades (Mad Clown), such as:

  • Rolling Slash; basic attacks with his spinning blade-equipped tendril/arms (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Round Slash
  • Killer Dance
  • Misery Rain

In his power change, every item he uses becomes larger

In the anime, Jack (Winslow) is chasing after Falcon's Power Stone, calling it his "lovely", it was revealed in the anime that his mother had a Power Stone like Falcon's. It was also revealed that Jack may be over 100 years old, and that he wears bandages because he was burned at his ship that was on fire, killing his mother. Jack mistook Rouge for his mother once. In the end of the series, Jack finally gets his hands on Falcon's Power Stone but is soon accepted by the gang as their friend. Afterwards, he lives with the animals in Dark Land.

Power Stone Collection Bio Jack makes no distinction between right and wrong. He only cares about pretty, shiny things, and cutting with his knife. In Manches, his hometown, he used to stop women and steal their shiny jewelry. But then one day he overheard a tale about the Power Stones, the most dazzling jewels in all the world, and he immediately set off to claim them for his own.

Character Analysis: Jack crawls so he can avoid many attacks. Jack can trap many opponets with Killer Dance, but can be avoided giving the opponent not caught in it a chance to attack him making him cancel the attack. In Power Stone Collection, he unlocks the Manches Chainsaw.

[edit] Galuda

Galuda is from the town of Dullstown. Galuda is age 34, weighs 242 pounds, measures 6'7" and has a warrior fighting style. He is a big character, not as big as Gunrock but faster. He is a totem pole (Proud Eagle) and his moves involve arrows, such as:

  • Light of Judgement; his right arm becomes a bow that fires a barrage of powerful arrows of light (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Heaven's Cry
  • Light of Vengeance
  • Heaven's Victory
  • Wings of the Eagle; bird-like wings of light sprout from his back, granting him the power to fly
  • Star Fire

In the anime he is from Soil Land. Galuda was part of a tribe called the Soaring Eagles and had a sister. Lilica, the chief's daughter, was engaged to be married to Galuda, but due to an illness she got ever since they left what they used to call home, the wedding became postponed. His Power Stone was found in the top of the totem pole in his tribe's original homeland, which was taken over by settlers. Ever since that Power Stone was in that totem pole, peace and good health settled on Galuda's tribe and those who disrespected it were cursed. Soon, peace was made between the Soaring Eagle tribe and the people of Soil Town (which is now called Eagle Town). In the end of the series, Lilica and he finally get married.

Power Stone Collection Bio Galuda lives in the Western wilds. He is a shaman with a tender heart and tomahawk-sharp intellect. To save his village from a mysterious disease, he is on a worldwide search for the Power Stones. Though he is a pacifist who abhors violence, Galuda has sworn revenge on the one-armed man who brought sickness to his village.

Character Analysis: Galuda is powerful and has decent speed to get around, but his right trigger Power Fusion is hard to aim, but is very damaging when done correctly. In the first Power Stone, his Light of Judgement was also hard to aim which was then removed. In Power Stone Collection, he unlocks the Totem Hammer.

[edit] Gunrock

Gunrock is from the town of Dawnvolta. Gunrock is age 38, weighs 440 pounds, measures 6'4" and has a barroom brawler fighting style. He is very huge, strong and slow. His Power Change, Heavy Tank, is the rock type, his special attacks are

  • Gun Gun Rock
  • Rock Crush (Not used in Power Stone 2)
  • Rock n' Roll
  • Earthquake

In the anime he is from Gold Land and has five children. Gunrock wanted to marry Ayame's brother until he found his true gender, later Gunrock married a girl named Cassie, who originally liked Falcon, and had 3 more children with her. Like WangTang, Gunrock does not travel with Falcon and also has many absences in the anime. In the game, his bandana is blue, but in the anime it is yellow.

Power Stone Collection Bio This miner from Dawnbolta has nerves of solid steel and never gets upset. He is journeying to excavate the legendary Power Stones. In fighting, he relies on his unrivaled brute strength.

Character Analysis: Gunrock is very bulky and takes practice to avoid attacks, but he does a lot of damage to make up for that. He can throw very fast and has a good range with his Power Drives. His Earthquake can stun the opponent so they can't avoid the attack unless they jump first. In Power Stone Collection, he unlocks the Giant Boots.

[edit] Kraken

Kraken is a pirate from Power Stone. He, like Valgas, is an unlockable character. Kraken is from a pirate ship in Skull Haven. Kraken's age is unknown, weighs 198 pounds, measures 6'11 and has a buccaneeer fighting style. His power change is of the skull type

  • Skull Gun; he fires a large cannon ball from his cannon-like pistol in his power stone form
  • Skull Wire
  • Skull Vacuum; he creates a powerful suction from his skeleton mouth and, if successful, swallows the victim whole
  • Skull Souls

Kraken is after Falcon's power stone to make his dreams come true. Kraken's men are the Octopus twins, Octo and Pus, even though they are not identical twins. He had various powers including the power to control creatures that live in water (giant octopuses and sharks) or even close to it (crocodiles).

[edit] Valgas

Valgas is a character from Power Stone. He is from the island of Avalon Island. Valgas's age is unknown, weighs 264 pounds, measures 7'10 and has a wrestling fighting style. He is a very powerful character and is quite fast. His power change is of the demon type since he is the main villain.

  • PS Energy
  • Dynamite Kick
  • PS Energy Maximum
  • Meteor Chain

At first, Falcon was a really big fan of Valgas, who was known worldwide for being a great fighter, until Falcon learns in the later episodes that Valgas really was evil. It was revealed, as a child, Valgas wished for ultimate power and was granted a dark stone, which made him very powerful. As a side note, Valgas may be named after Vulgus, the first video game released by Capcom.

[edit] Power Stone 2

Additional playable characters include:

[edit] Pete

He is a very small character and is of the robot type. His age and hometown is not known. Pete is known to have the most power fusion moves out of any other Power Stone character. In Power Change, Pete is known as Invention Boy

His Power Drive is

  • Energy Shot

His Power Fusions are

  • Toy Parade
  • Propeller Dream
  • Electric Sphere
  • Electric Pillar

Power Stone Collection Bio In a tiny house in a far off land, there was a toy chest in the corner. Suddenly one day, a toy doll popped out, shining with a heavy glow. "Finally! I can finally move on my own!" The doll's name is Pete. And in his chest is a shiny stone...a Power Stone. Through the Power Stone, the fond wish of Pete's owner had finally come true- and given Pete life. "My dream is to create wonderful things that surprise and delight people everywhere!" With that, Pete flew out the window, climbing higher and higher in the sky.

Character Analysis: With his small size he has great speed and can avoid many attacks. He also has the most variety in Power Fusions which gives him an advantage. But when he uses items, they become smaller and less effective. Only in Power Stone 2, he unlocks the Turbo Helmet.

[edit] Julia Whitepearl

Julia wears a dress, and has blonde hair when she is wearing Red or Green, but her hair is brown when she is wearing Yellow or Blue. During Power Change, Julia is known as Secret Grace, her Power Drive is

  • Slave of Love

And her Power Fusions are:

  • Queen's Mischief
  • Merry-Go-Round

Power Stone Collection Bio Julia is the only daughter of the historic Whitepearl family. Behind her tender, elegant grace hides a wild personality that even she was unaware of. Her parents hoped that the power of the Power Stone, passed down through the family from generation to generation, would keep this in check. But the wild side of Julia's split personality stole the stone, and she ran away from home. When she snapped out of it, she found herself in a strange and foreign place. "I don't know what happened, but I must get out of here!"

Character Analysis: She has an advantage because she has an umbrella which gives her more air time. This is good for avoid Gunrock's Earthquake or the Pharaoh Walker. Her Queen's Mischief Power Fusion is hard to aim and takes a lot of practice to use. Julia's Merry Go Round attack is like Jack's Killer Dance, those not caught can attack her. With her Power Drive, she ties up her opponent so she can grab a powerful weapon and use it to attack the opponent tied up or chain the attack with a Merry Go round. Only in Power Stone 2, she unlocks the Stone Sweeper.

[edit] Gourmand

Gourmand is an evil chef. He is large character but not as slow as Gunrock. He wields a chef knife prior to Power Change. In his power change he becomes a dinosaur type known as Evil Chef. His Power Drive is

  • Fall Etansel

And his Power Fusions are:

  • Chef du Franmu
  • Plat de Rêsistance

Power Stone Collection Bio Gourmand is head chef on the luxurious airship Royal Heaven, which sails around the world. Secretly, he is a ravenous chef who will do anything to get his hands on rare delicacies. One day, he learns about the existence of a mysterious flying castle. "Does it have new ingredients no one has seen before?" Conveniently, a huge dark shadow falls across the path of the Royal Heaven, making his ship tremble. Gourmand jumps ship with his kitchen knife and frying pan in hopes of finding new food to tickle his fancy.

Character Analysis: Gourmand has average speed and powerful attacks, and since he is a big character he can uproot poles like Gunrock and Galuda. His left trigger Power Fusion needs to be done close to the opponents because when you get to move him, he goes slow. His Power Drive is kind of hard to aim too. Only in Power Stone 2, he unlocks the Wok Gun.

[edit] Accel

Accel's persona is that of a cowboy, though he rarely uses his guns that he shows off when the round starts. Like all the newly introduced characters in Power Stone 2, Accel's age, hometown, weight, height, and fighting style are unknown. His Power Fusion is Vagabond Gunman and his Power Drive is

  • Beat Assault

And his Power Fusions are:

  • Crazy Revolver
  • Wild Buzzsaw

Power Stone Collection Bio "When I regained consciousness...I found myself here. They call me Accel: have gun, will travel. I got ambushed by a rough 'n' tough bunch of guys in town. Actually, they tied me to a hot air balloon and let me loose in the skies. Boy, did they get the best of me. My blood is boiling, and my soul thirsts for justice. I have to get out of here. It's time they had a healthy helping of justice pie."

Character Analysis: Accel does use his guns when he is using a pole or using a wall move. That gives him very long range. His buzzsaw Power Fusion is harder to control than Gunrock's Rock n Roll, but does a lot of damage. Only in Power Stone 2, he unlocks the Thunderbolt Rider.

[edit] Pride Falcon

Pride Falcon is the father of the main character Edward Falcon, who is an unlockable character in Power Stone 2. He makes an appearance in the first Power Stone as "Falcon's Father", but is not playable. Pride plays like Falcon, except he does not have the double jump like his son. His Power Change is like Edward's, he uses missiles in his power fusion. He and Mel have only one entrance phrase.

In the first episode of the Power Stone anime, he sends a power stone to Falcon. Edward Falcon goes looking for him. Pride was eventually found in Dark Land, the headquarter of Valgas. Pride does not transform in the show.

Character Analysis: He fights like his son, although they have many differences. Pride does not double jump, so he can't jump as high. His power drive is short range, but if you keep pressing attack for his left trigger Power Fusion then he can cause a lot of damage.

[edit] Mel

Mel is the shopkeeper and final unlockable character in Power Stone 2. Like the other newly introduced Power Stone characters, her hometown, weight, height, and age are unknown. She fights like Julia, but Mel has the lowest defense in the game, and she also has trouble carry heavier items. However, she can use her Power Fusion the most times. Her power change is an angel of the money type. She does not have any dialogue when doing a power change, her power drive involves element cards that can be bought at her store, her left trigger power fusion throws coins and her right trigger power fusion unleashes a rain of cash bags.

Character Analysis: She fights like Julia, but they still have many differences. Mel has the lowest defense out of any character in the game, and her speed isn't very fast. But she has an advantage of being able to do up to four Power Fusions whereas the default characters can only do up to 2 if the Power meter is set to default. She does have quite a high jump, but because of her low defense and strength, she may be a bottom tier character.
