List of Parliamentary constituencies in Tyne and Wear

The ceremonial county of Tyne and Wear is divided into 13 Parliamentary constituencies. They are all Borough constituencies.

The Boundary Commission for England has provisionally recommended that the county should in future be divided into 12 constituencies. The proposals and objections were subjected to public inquiry in June, 2005. Final proposals were produced on January 11, 2006, for implementation at the United Kingdom general election, 2009/10.
The new constituencies will be
- Blaydon BC - Gateshead
- Gateshead BC - Gateshead
- Houghton and Sunderland South BC - Sunderland
- Jarrow BC - Gateashead and South Tyneside
- Newcastle upon Tyne Central BC - Newcastle
- Newcastle upon Tyne East BC - Newcastle
- Newcastle upon Tyne North BC - Newcastle
- North Tyneside BC - North Tyneside
- South Shields BC - South Tyneside
- Sunderland Central BC - Sunderland
- Tynemouth BC - North Tyneside
- Washington and Sunderland West BC - Sunderland
