Non Resident Indians (NRIs) are people who are ethnically Indian but live outside India. This includes people who have migrated recently who might be holding an Indian or foreign citizenship, and descendants of those who migrated primarily in the 19th century who probably will be holding a foreign citizenship. This list might contain some Sri Lankan Tamils, as some of them are classified as Indian in their resident country e.g. Singapore and Malaysia.
