This is a List of Major League Baseball rivalries. A rivalry in this sense is defined by two teams that are regularly scheduled to play each other and have been so for at least a generation, the teams and/or fans from both cities mutually anticipate when the two teams meet and all games nearly sell out. Interleague rivalries can be inconsistently scheduled during the regular season and generally tend to be based on several World Series match-ups.
