- Ali ibn al-Athir(1160 - 1233) - He wrote Al-Kamil fi al-Tarikh
- Ibn Ishaq(d. 768) - Known for Sirat Rasul Allah or The Life of the Apostle of God[1]
- Ibn Khaldun (Arabic ابن خلدون, May 27, 1332/A.H. 732 to March 19, 1406/A.H. 808) - He wrote Muqaddimah[2] and other works.[3]
- Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari(Arabic الطبري, AD 838-AD 923) - He wrote a history work on Prophets and Kings titled تاريخ الرسل والملوك.
- Al-Waqidi(d. 822 / 207 A.H.)-Noted for Kitab Al Tarikh wa Al Maghazi (Book of History and Battles).
- Ibn Kathir.
