This is a list of recurring and notable minor characters on the television show Hannah Montana.

[edit] Miley's school friends and acquaintances
- Amber Addison (Shanica Knowles) and Ashley Dewitt (Anna Maria Perez de Tagle) Miley and Lilly's snooty rivals. Amber is seemingly bad at cheerleading. They are editors of the yearbook, and are often seen trying to capture Miley's and Lilly's embarrassing moments on their camera phones to add to it. They also like to touch fingers and say "Ooooh, tsssssss(which is dumb)." In "It's a Mannequin's World," Amber and Ashley want to stop doing it, but can't. Ironically, they love Hannah Montana, but don't know she's really Miley. They have a crush on Johnny Collins and television star Jake Ryan, are fond of lattes, and hate camping.
- Becca Weller (Kirby Bliss Blanton) is one of Miley/Hannah's biggest fans and Oliver's girlfriend (for one episode).
- Chad The Chomper (Kyle Kaplan) a kid who likes to chomp his gum and is Oliver's rival.
- Mr. Corelli (Greg Baker) Miley's teacher.
- Dandruff Danny (Jack Taylor) a kid who has a problem with dandruff. He tries to freak kids out by blowing his dandruff at them.
- Donnie (Creagen Dow) one of Oliver's rivals and has body odour.
- Jake Ryan (Cody Linley) the star of the television show Zombie High, who begins to attend Seaview Middle School. He is a total hunk and was voted hottie of the year. His signature line is: "Dude, I slayed you once! Don't make me slay you again." Miley is at first resentful of him because of the perks he is given because he is a celebrity, but the two discover that they are both in love with each other. Jake eventually admits he gets sick of all the attention, and sometimes wants to turn the whole movie star thing off and be a regular kid to Hannah and when he does miley realizes her feelings for him. Lilly is obsessed with him, and so are all the other girls in school. He has a girlfriend later on, in the episode "Good Golly, Miss Dolly," named Rachel which makes Miley really jealous. In the episode "People Who Use People," Jake tries to make Miley jealous and in the end kisses her and after this Jake and Miley become a couple, but then he has to go off to Romania to shoot a movie, for 4 months.
- Johnny Collins (Corbin Bleu) one of Miley's former crushes. She squeezed ketchup on her hand instead of her burger once as not paying attention where she was aiming, and told him it was good for moisturizer and Johnny will never appear in a another episode.
- Josh (Daniel Samonas) one of Miley's former crushes who hates Miley's alter ego. In one episode he takes Miley to a Hannah Montana concert, but is not impressed.
- Rachel (Summer Bishil) Jake's girlfriend who he broke up with before the episode "People Who Use People"
- Sarah (Morgan York) Good willed friend of Miley, Oliver and Lilly who raised money for the United People's Relief but was beat out by Amber and Ashley in "Money for nothing, Guilt for Free"
- Willis (Drew Osborne) Miley dated Willis to make Jake jealous. Willis said that he was a senior, but it is later revealed that he was 11 and 3 quarters, and just looked older. Miley said he was just a child for pretending he was a senior. Miley said she thought he was graduating, but he was only graduating elementary school.

- Bobby Ray (Billy Ray Cyrus) Robby Ray's (Miley's dad) identical twin brother and Miley's uncle. He has a daughter, Luann, who looks exactly like Miley.
- Aunt Dolly (Dolly Parton) Miley's godmother from Tennessee. She has a dog named Rufus, uses her fingernails to open locked doors and keeps her phone in her hair because her pants are too tight. Dolly Parton is Miley Cyrus's godmother in real life, and also a close long-time friend and co-worker of Billy Ray Cyrus.
- Luann (Miley Cyrus) Miley's evil look-a-like cousin from Tennessee. She is jealous of Miley because she is Hannah Montana. Tried to reveal Hannah Montana's identity but her plans were foiled at the last second.
- Ruthie Stewart (Vicki Lawrence) Robby Stewart's mother who loves to torture him. She teases him about being too slow and chubby because that's the way he was as a child, and according to Robby, she could never get over that. She used to be an Olympic volleyball player and professional volleyball champion, and she pressures Jackson to be the best that he can be. While doing so, she gives Jackson so much praise and attention, Miley feels that she doesn't love her. She really deep down loves Miley and Robby, but she feels Jackson doesn't get enough attention when it's just Robby and Miley, so she gives him more than Miley when she's there; however, she just likes giving Robby a hard time. Jackson and Miley refer to her as "Mamaw." Miley Cyrus's real grandmother, the mother of Billy Ray Cyrus, is named Ruth.
- Shaggy and Scooby Jackson and Miley's cousins in Tennessee. They are never seen but are mentioned in "We Are Family, Now Get Me Some Water".
- Ciara (Farrah Franklin) Jackson and Miley's very distant black cousin from Brownsville, Tennessee. She is also a singer just like Miley but sings better, that's why she's never seen. But she is mentioned in the episodes "Miley Get Your Gum", "She's a Super Sneak", and "On The Road Again".

- Cooper (Andre Jamal Kinney) Jackson's best friend who is good at cooking and likes girls as much as Jackson does.
- Karen Kunkle (Erin Matthews) Jackson's mean teacher who goes on a date with Robby Stewart because Jackson wants to improve his grades. She and Robby Ray get in a dispute over whether a certain family recipe would taste better with tarragon in it, so the date ends badly within a few minutes.
- Nina (Alison Brie) a hairdresser that Jackson likes whom Rico used to pull a trick on Jackson.
- Olivia (Rae' Ven Larrymore Kelly) Cooper's younger rebellious sister who likes Jackson. Cooper goes to any lengths to keep them separated, as he is protective of his sister.
- Rico (Moises Arias) Jackson's boss's son who is the arch-nemesis of Jackson. He is a little kid, and is always trying to humiliate Jackson. In the episode "It's My Party And I'll Lie If I Want To," he hired a beautiful hairdresser to style Jackson's hair, only she dyed his hair many different colors and eventually ended up shaving his head instead. Because Rico is Jackson's boss's son, Jackson is forced to do whatever Rico tells him to do, which the latter frequently takes advantage of.

- Marty Klien (Richard Portnow) Robby's former manager.
- Mr. Dontzig (Paul Vogt/Peter Allen Vogt) The Stewarts' snooty next-door neighbor who tends to compete in little competitions of 'who is the better nighbor' with Robby as seen in "Torn Between Two Hannahs" When they have a 'who has the scariest house' on Halloween. Of course Mr. Dontzig tricks Robby and wins the respect and love of the nighborhood.

- Fermine (Matt Winston) Miley/Hannah's costume designer.
- Maddie Fitzpatrick (Ashley Tisdale) from the The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Became Hannah's friend when she stayed at the Tipton. (See That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana). Is a fan of Hannah as well as that of Robby. Like Corbin Bleu, (Johnny Collins) she appeared in High School Musical.
- Roxy (Frances Callier) a militant bodyguard of Miley's/Hannah's, originally hired for Hannah Montana's security. Ever since Roxy returned from a Marines training vacation, she has been overprotective of the teen pop star. She babysat Miley and Jackson in "On the Road Again." She also gave Miley a metal detector for her birthday. A running gag involves Roxy being caught off guard by Oliver, then being knocked down because of it. Her catch phrase is "I've got my eyes on you..."
- Traci Vanhorn (Himori Dames) A friend of Hannah Montana's who is always involved in the biggest parties and has a "deviated septom", and "she owns it".
