The list covers every known character in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero series to have received his/her own action figure. The list only covers individuals and the year they debuted. It does not include every edition of the same character or the name changes that happened.

  • Note 1: There were two characters code named Airborne. It is possible Hasbro did not realize they used the same name for a different character.
  • Note 2: There were two characters code named Long Range and possibly for the same reason that Hasbro overlooked their character inventory. The second Long Range appears in the G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 series.
  • Note 3: There were two characters code named General Flagg, but there is a reason for this. The second figure made of General Flagg is actually the father of the first figure made. The file card of the second figure erroneously names him as his son. However, he was intended (as per the comic he was released with at the time) to be the original General Flagg.
  • Note 4 Robo-Joe's real name is listed as Greg Scott, the same name used for Lifeline's version 5 and 6 filecards.

Copperhead Water Moccasin driver Classified A Cobra boat pilot who is known for operating his "Water Moccasin" air-driven boat. He is presumably from the Florida Everglades(given his exaggerated Southern accent in the cartoon) and serves as Cobra's Naval Commander.
Stinger Driver The Enemy As with the Viper Pilot, a repaint of the Cobra Officer, exclusive to the Stinger 4WD vehicle.
Wild Weasel Rattler pilot Classified An ace pilot who has never been seen outside of his flight suit. Wild Weasel is arrogant to a fault, favoring the Rattler ground support jet. The pilots of G.I. Joe hate him as a person, but respect him as a pilot.

Croc Master Reptile trainer Unknown Cobra's reptile trainer and animal security supervisor. A former crocodile wrestler and security-installation expert, he is responsible for breeding and training the particularly large and aggressive crocodiles that guard the perimeter of Cobra Island.
Crystal Ball Hypnotist Unknown Cobra's own hypnotist and sometimes interrogator. (The character is widely believed to have been created by or in honor of author Stephen King, whose son was a big fan of G.I. Joe. King is purported to have written the file card on the back of the character's toy package.)

Raptor Falconer Unknown An accountant and falconer who went to work for Cobra after being caught poaching on their property. Raptor works in both Cobra's various business fronts and as a part of their operations to breed and train birds for attack purposes. (Raptor actually dresses in a giant falcon costume -- supposedly to gain his falcons' familiarity -- and is widely ridiculed as one of the more cartoonish looking characters).
