The List of Florida hurricanes encompasses every tropical cyclone that affected the state of Florida.

- August 7, 1980- Hurricane Allen passes about 310 miles (500 km) south of Key West, Florida. The threat of the large hurricane prompts the National Hurricane Center to issue gale warnings for the Florida Keys.[1] The hurricane produces gale force winds across the keys, though there was no significant damage.[2]
- November 8-12, 1980- An inflow band from Hurricane Jeanne over the central Gulf of Mexico combines with a stationary cold front, producing torrential rainfall across southern Florida. Key West International Airport records a peak total of 24.98 inches, over half of it falling in one six-hour period.[3]
- August 17, 1981- Tropical Storm Dennis makes landfall on the southwest portion of the state, and drifts northeastward across the state. East Cape Sable after passing over the Florida Keys. The rainfall was generally beneficial, though rainfall totals of over 20 inches (500 mm) caused moderate flooding damage in southeastern Florida, including $15 million in crop damages in Dade County.[4][5]
- November 12-17, 1981- An unnamed subtropical storm produces coastal flooding and beach erosion while located over the open Atlantic Ocean.[6]
- June 1-7, 1982- Hurricane Alberto remains over the eastern Gulf of Mexico, though its outer bands produce moderate rainfall across the state, peaking at 16.47 inches in Tavernier.[7] The hurricane produces tornadic activity across the state, and the storm resulted in generally minor damage.[8]
- June 18, 1982: A subtropical storm makes landfall near Yankeetown, and produces moderate precipitation of up to 10.72 inches near Desoto City.[9] The rainfall leads to 3 deaths, and damage from the storm totals to $10 million (1982 USD).[8]
- August 28, 1983- Tropical Depression Barry makes landfall as a tropical depression near Melbourne. It drops light rainfall across the southern portion of the state, peaking at 3.01 inches in Wachula.[10]
- September 9, 1984- Tropical Storm Diana passes within 65 miles (100 km) off the northeast Florida coast. The storm produces moderate rainfall of up to 3.13 inches (79.5 mm) in Jacksonville. Diana also produces wind gusts of up to 69 mph (112 km/h) as well as 2.6 feet (0.8 m) above tides.[11]
- September 27, 1984- Tropical Storm Isidore makes landfall on Jupiter with 60 mph winds. Isidore drops moderate rainfall of over to 6.5 inches (175 mm), and produces a storm tide of around 3.2 feet (1 m). Isidore kills one person and causes $1 million in damage across the state.[11]
- July 23, 1985- Tropical Storm Bob makes landfall near Fort Myers, and while slowly moving across the state it drops heavy rainfall peaking at 21.5 inches (546.1 mm) in Everglades City. Damage is minimal.[12]
- August 15, 1985- Hurricane Danny strikes southern Alabama, though its outer rainbands drop over 3 inches of rainfall in western Florida.[13]
- August 28 - September 6, 1985- Hurricane Elena moves northeastward through the Gulf of Mexico, loops about 50 miles (80 km) off the coast of Cedar Key, and turns northwestward to hit Mississippi. The hurricane produces precipitation across the entire state, with a peak of 15.67 inches in Cross Key.[14] Elena causes a 9.8 foot storm surge near Apalachicola, where the oyster industry experiences severe losses from the hurricane.[12]
- October 10, 1985- Minimal Tropical Storm Isabel hits extreme northeastern Florida, dropping light rain along its path. Damage was minor.[15]
- Late October, 1985- Hurricane Juan moves erratically over the northern Gulf of Mexico and hits Pensacola as a tropical storm. It produces precipitation across much of the state, peaking at over 10 inches (250 mm) in the extreme western Florida Panhandle.[16]
- November 21, 1985- Hurricane Kate makes landfall near Apalachicola as a Category 2 hurricane, producing up to 8.32 inches (147 mm) of rainfall in Panama City. Tides of over 10 feet above normal result in further beach erosion near the coast. Just two months after Hurricane Elena affected the area, the passage of Hurricane Kate cause further damage to oyster beds, leaving many people jobless. Kate causes $300 million (1985 USD) in damage and five deaths in the United States.[12]
- June 26, 1986- Hurricane Bonnie strikes the Texas coast, while its outer rainbands produce over 1 inch (25 mm) of rain in the extreme northwestern Florida Panhandle.[17]
- August 13, 1986- The precursor disturbance that later becomes Hurricane Charley moves over northwestern Florida, causing light to moderate amounts of precipitation of up to 8.61 inches near Steinhatchee.[18]
- August 14, 1987- A tropical depression enters the Florida Panhandle from the northwest. It produces rainfall across much of the state, with the extreme western Florida Panhandle receiving over 10 inches of rain.[19]
- September 7, 1987- Tropical Depression Nine forms to the east of the state, producing over 3 inches of rain near Homestead.[20]
- October 12, 1987- Hurricane Floyd moves through the Florida Keys, dropping up to 10.07 inches of rain in Fort Pierce.[21] The passage of the storm results in about $500,000 in damage, including $80,000 from a tornado in Key Largo.[22]
- November 4, 1987- The extratropical remnant of Tropical Depression Fourteen makes landfall near Spring Hill, Florida, dropping up to 10.23 inches (26 mm) of rain at Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.[23]
- May 30, 1988- A tropical depression moves northward to the east of the state, producing light rainfall peaking at 3.18 inches in Pompano Beach.[24]
- August 4, 1988- Tropical Storm Beryl forms to the south of Mississippi and moves slowly for several days over coastal areas of Louisiana. The outer bands of the storm drop over 7 inches of rain along the Florida Panhandle,[25] resulting in very minor damage.[26]
- August 13, 1988- Tropical Depression Four makes landfall in extreme northeastern Florida, producing light to moderate rainfall throughout the entire state peaking at 7.72 inches in Homestead.[27]
- August 23, 1988- Tropical Storm Chris parallels the east coast of the state and drops over 3 inches of precipitation in various locations.[28]
- September 4, 1988- Tropical Depression Ten strikes Louisiana, producing moderate rainfall across northern Florida with totals of over 5 inches near Apalachicola.[29]
- November 23, 1988: Tropical Storm Keith made landfall as a tropical storm near Tampa Bay and exited near Cape Canaveral

- October 11, 1990: Tropical Storm Marco made landfall as a tropical storm near Yankeetown after tracking up the coast as a tropical storm.
- August 24, 1992: Hurricane Andrew made landfall in Homestead, just south of Miami, as a category five hurricane, having just made landfall in the Bahamas. The storm exited near Chokoloskee and went on to make a second landfall in Louisiana as a category four hurricane two days later.
- July 3, 1994: Tropical Storm Alberto made landfall as a tropical storm near Destin.
- August 15, 1994: Tropical Storm Beryl made landfall as a tropical storm near Panama City.
- November 16, 1994: Hurricane Gordon made landfall as a tropical storm near Fort Myers and exited north of Palm Beach. The storm later made a landfall as a tropical depression on the twenty-first near Cape Canaveral.
- June 5, 1995: Hurricane Allison made landfall as a tropical storm near Tallahassee.
- August 2, 1995: Hurricane Erin made landfall as a category one hurricane north of Palm Beach and exited just north of Tampa Bay as a tropical storm. The storm made a second landfall near Pensacola as a category one hurricane late the next day.
- August 23, 1995: Tropical Storm Jerry made landfall as a tropical storm near Palm Beach.
- October 4, 1995: Hurricane Opal made landfall as a category three hurricane near Pensacola.
- October 8, 1996: Tropical Storm Josephine made landfall as a tropical storm near the mouth of the Steinhatchee River.
- September 3, 1998: Hurricane Earl made landfall as a category one hurricane near Panama City.
- September 25, 1998: Hurricane Georges passed over Key West(landfall?) as a category two hurricane.
- November 5, 1998: Hurricane Mitch made landfall as a tropical storm near Fort Myers and exited near Palm Beach. Earlier, as a category five, Mitch made landfall in Nicaragua.
- September 21, 1999: Tropical Storm Harvey made landfall north of Chokoloskee as a tropical storm and exited near Fort Lauderdale.
- October 15, 1999: Hurricane Irene made landfall as a category one hurricane near East Cape Sable after passing over the Florida Keys and exited near Palm Beach.

- September 18, 2000: Hurricane Gordon made landfall as a tropical storm near Yankeetown.
- September 22, 2000: Tropical Storm Helene made landfall as a tropical storm near Pensacola.
- August 6, 2001: Tropical Storm Barry made landfall as a tropical storm near Destin.
- September 14, 2001: Hurricane Gabrielle made landfall as a tropical storm near Tampa Bay and exited near Cape Canaveral.
- September 4, 2002: Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall as a tropical storm near Daytona Beach and exited south of Yankeetown as a tropical depression.
- September 6, 2003: Tropical Storm Henri made landfall as a tropical depression near Tampa Bay and exited just north of Cape Canaveral.
- August 12, 2004: Tropical Storm Bonnie made landfall as a 45 mph tropical storm just south of Apalachicola.
- August 13, 2004: Hurricane Charley made landfall near Port Charlotte as a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 150 mph. Charley was the most powerful and destructive hurricane to hit Florida since Andrew in 1992.
- September 5, 2004: Hurricane Frances made landfall near Sewall's Point as a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustaiend winds of 105 mph. Frances caused several billions of dollars worth of damage.
- September 16, 2004: Hurricane Ivan made landfall near Gulf Shores, Alabama as a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Despite making landfall in Alabama, the western Florida Panhandle was hit hard by Ivan's eastern eyewall, causing very heavy damage.
- September 26, 2004: Hurricane Jeanne made landfall at Hutchison Island, very near to where Frances made landfall earlier in the month. It struck as a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph., causing further heavy damage to the beleaguered state in a very busy year for Florida.
- June 11, 2005: Tropical Storm Arlene made landfall just west of Pensacola as a tropical storm with maximum sustaiend winds of 60 mph.
- July 10, 2005: Hurricane Dennis made landfall just west of Navarre Beach as a Category 3 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Dennis caused billions of dollars worth of damage.
- August 25, 2005: Hurricane Katrina made landfall near Hallandale Beach and Aventura as a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 80 mph. Katrina dumped up to 16 inches of rain over southern Florida, causing considerable flooding.
- October 24, 2005: Hurricane Wilma made landfall near Cape Romano as a Category 3 hurricanes with maximum sustained winds of 120 mph. Wilma caused billions of dollars worth of damage across southern Florida.
- June 13, 2006: Tropical Storm Alberto made landfall in the Big Bend area as a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.
- August 29, 2006: Hurricane Ernesto made landfall near the southern tip of the Florida Peninsula as a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
