This is a list of the first-level administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China (P.R.C.) , including all provinces, autonomous regions, special administrative regions and municipalities, in order of their highest points. The elevations are given in meters.

Taiwan Province, which is completely under the jurisdiction of the Republic of China (R.O.C.) on Taiwan, is included but not ranked, for comparison purposes.
