The following is a list of characters featured in the Neoromance series Angelique. Character ages are per the character's first introduction.

  • Angelique Limoges (アンジェリーク リモージュ?)
The heroine of the original Angelique game and its remakes, as well as Fushigi no Kuni no Angelique. A very ordinary girl, cheerful and friendly, albeit a tad clumsy. Attends the Royal Smallney Girls' Academy prior to being chosen as a queen candidate. She likes sweet foods and collects hair ribbons. According to series cannon, she becomes the 256th Queen of the Cosmos of the Divine Bird.
  • Rosalia de Catargena (ロザリア デ カタルヘナ?)
Angelique Limoges' rival, a confident and dignified girl, and likewise a student at Smallney Girls' Academy. A descendant of a powerful noble family, she has been groomed from early age to become queen. Rosalia often seems unfriendly, but she likes to look after others. Series cannon holds that she becomes Queens Aide to Angelique Limoges, though in Angelique Duet there are queen endings available for her.
  • Angelique Collet (アンジェリーク コレット?)
The heroine of Angelique Special 2, Angelique Tenkū no Requiem and Angelique Trois. She is a student from Smallney Girls' Academy chosen as a queen candidate. Usually portrayed with a gentle, thoughtful personality, though in Angelique Special 2, her personality traits are set by the player. According to series cannon, she becomes the 1st Queen of the Cosmos of the Holy Beast.
  • Rachel Hart (レイチェル ハート?)
Angelique Collet's rival, she is known as the genius girl of the Royal Research Institute. Both of her parents are professors. Rachel is a quick thinker, self confident and vocal about what she wants. She becomes Queen's Aide to Angelique Collet.
  • Ange (エンジュ?)
The heroine of Angelique Etoile, she comes from the Cosmos of the Divine Bird. She is chosen to be the 'Legendary Etoile' who will save the cosmos.

[edit] Divine Bird Guardians

  • Julious (ジュリアス?)
One of the nine Guardians who serve the queen, he commands 'Light', which brings pride. Julious hails from an important noble family, and has a dignified bearing, but he tends to seem cold and austere. He has a strong sense of responsibility and is faultlessly loyal to the queen, leading him to serve as de facto leader among the Guardians. His hobbies include horseback riding and chess.
The Guardian of Darkness, whose power brings tranquility. He has a gloomy and remote atmosphere about him. He usually keeps a distance from others, but somehow he and Julious are always at odds with each other. Clavis was born into a nomadic people, and feels constrained by his position as Guardian. He can predict the future and observe the present through tarot cards and crystals.
The Guardian of Wind, whose power brings courage. An outgoing and high-spirited young man, he enjoys being active and excels at almost any sport. He has a strong sense of justice and would never turn his back on someone in trouble, but his straight-forwardness in this respect sometimes gets him into trouble. Randy is often found in the company of Zephel and Marcel.
  • Lumiale (リュミエール?)
The Guardian of Water, whose power brings gentleness. Delicate in both looks and personality, he dislikes conflict of any sort. He has a strong intuition and reads people well. Lumiale has a deep regard for Clavis, and is always worrying over him. He is accomplished in the arts, and enjoys playing the harp and watercolor painting.
  • Oscar (オスカー?)
The Guardian of Fire, whose power brings strength. A passionate sort, he has a reputation as a playboy. While he does count flirting among his hobbies, as a member of a military family, he has a soldierly, disciplined side as well. Oscar is an expert swordsman, and his dedication and loyalty have earned him respect from Julious. His hobbies (excluding flirting) are fencing and billiards.
  • Marcel (マルセル?)
    • Age: 14
    • Role: Guardian of Green
    • Seiyuu: Yuuki Hiro
The Guardian of Green, whose power brings bounty. He is a sweet and innocent boy who likes plants and animals. Marcel is the youngest of the Guardians, and because of his age even though he makes friends with others readily, his feeling are easily hurt. He is close with Randy and Zephel.
  • Zephel (ゼフェル?)
The Guardian of Steel whose power brings ingenuity. He is good with his hands and likes tinkering with machines, but he struggles to relate to other people. He often seems unsociable and rebellious. Zephel is discontent with his position as Guardian because he was forcibly taken to fill the post. Luva has taken a mentor-like role with Zephel, and though Zephel outwardly resists Luva, he does look up to the older Guardian.
  • Olivie (オリヴィエ?)
The Guardian of Dream whose power brings beauty. Cheerful and openhearted, Olivie dresses in a rainbow of colors, likes wearing makeup, and generally stands slightly apart from the masculine ideal. But he is no mere peacock, either. He is very dependable, an astute judge of character, and he is always ready with candid advice.
  • Luva (ルヴァ?)
The Guardian of Earth whose power brings wisdom. A scholarly sort, he is very learned, and oft relied upon by the other Guardians for his knowledge. Luva is a slow and methodical person, and he is easily harried and heckled as a result. He has a sincere and warm personality. He enjoys reading, fishing and playing shogi.

Victor is first introduced in Angelique Special 2, where he instructs Angelique Collet and Rachel Hart on 'mind'. He is a member of the Royal Expeditionary force. Despite his rough exterior, has a frank and warm personality.
In Angelique Etoile Victor becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Earth.
Sei-lan is first introduced in Angelique Special 2, in which he instructs the queen candidates on 'sense'. He has a reputation as a talented artist, and he is a bit eccentric and tend to do things his own way. He is often cynical, but also has a playful side.
In Angelique Etoile Sei-Lan becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Green.
Timka is first introduced in Angelique Special 2, in which he instructs the queen candidates on 'dignity'. A prince from the Planet of White Palaces in the Cosmos of the Divine Bird, he has a composed nature and dignity beyond his age.
In Angelique Etoile Timka becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Water.
Ernst is first introduced in Angelique Special 2, in which he assists the queen candidates as head researcher of the Royal Research Institute.
In Angelique Etoile Ernst becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Steel.
  • Mel

A child of the Fire Dragon Clan, Mel is first introduced in Angelique Special 2 as a fortune teller.
In Angelique Etoile Mel becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Dream.
Charlie is first introduced in Angelique Special 2 as a merchant who sells gifts to the queen candidates. Although 'Charlie' is his cannon name, the player could input different names for him in Angelique Special 2 and Angelique Tenkū no Requiem.
In Angelique Etoile Charlie becomes Angelique Collet's Guardian of Fire.
