Aisin automatic transmissions are manufactured by Aisin AW, formerly known as Aisin-Warner and incorporating designs from BorgWarner. As a spinoff from Toyota Motor Corporation, Aisin and Toyota share many designs. See Toyota A transmission for a complete list of Toyota/Aisin models. Mitsubishi Motors also uses many Aisin units, and many other manufacturers use them in specialized applications.
