Lisa Wilson

Lisa Marie Wilson (born April 14, 1980) is a beauty queen and singer from Rome, Georgia who has competed in the Miss USA pageant and appeared on American Idol.

Wilson won the Miss Georgia USA 2006 title in a state pageant held in Newnan in late 2006. It was her first attempt at the title, although she had competed in local pageants such as Hawaiin Tropic. She represented Georgia in the Miss USA 2006 pageant broadcast live from Baltimore, Maryland in April 2006, placed second runner-up to Tara Conner of Kentucky. This was Georgia's highest placement since 2001, when Tiffany Fallon also placed second runner-up. Her sister titleholder was Brittany Sharp, who was also a runner-up in the Miss Teen USA pageant. With Wilson's second runner-up position and Sharp's fourth runner-up placement, Georgia was the highest overall placed state in 2006. In November 2006 Wilson passed on her crown to Brittany Swann of Peachtree City, who had placed third runner-up to her in the 2006 pageant.

Wilson graduated from Armuchee High School in 1999 and also gained a high school diploma in radio and television broadcasting from Coosa Valley Technical High School. Whilst she is currently working as a promotional model manager and restaurant server her resume varies from promotional and swimwear modeling to hand modeling and showroom work.

In 2004, Wilson was a Semi-finalist on the third season of the reality TV show American Idol. As well as extensive voice training, Wilson has had training on the flute, piccolo, guitar, and piano. Since her appearance on American Idol she has performed all over the United States, recorded her first album, and had the opportunity to perform for Vice President, Dick Cheney.
