From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lisa Kleypas (born 1964) is an American author of romance novels set primarily in the nineteenth century. In 1985, she was named Miss Massachusetts and competed in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City.

After graduating from Wellesley College with a degree in political science, Kleypas published her first book at the age of twenty-one. Since then, her romance novels have ranked high on major best-seller lists, sold millions of copies around the globe and have been translated into fourteen different languages.

Though primarily known for her historical romance novels, Kleypas made an announcement in early 2006 concerning her momentary departure from historical romances to delve into the contemporary romance genre. Sugar Daddy is scheduled for a March 2007 release. [1] Kleypas currently resides in Texas with her husband and two children.
