Lions for Lambs is a new drama film scheduled to be released in 2007 starring Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. The film is based on a platoon of soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, and will be directed by Robert Redford. It will be the first United Artists film produced under the Cruise/Wagner era, since Cruise fell out with Paramount Pictures, then came to an agreement with MGM to run United Artists. MGM will handle marketing and distribution.
