[edit] External links section

I added some links to the 'External links section' which I mainly added because of the many images that were shown there (which I think add visual aid about that theme). Two of these links link lead to Italian webpages. JHunterJ deleted these links because he probably thought/thinks they are adding only minor value to the article. After writing to JHunterJ he didn't disapprove that I add them again to the 'External links section' of the article to see if any other editor objects... (That's what he wrote: I think "neutral and accurate material" refers to external articles, but perhaps it could pertain to picture collections.)

Foreign-language sites

Since this is the English Wikipedia, webpages in English are highly preferred. Linking to non-English pages may still be useful for English-language readers in some cases:

  • when linking to pages with maps, diagrams, photos, tables; explain the key terms with the link, so that people who do not know the language can still interpret them

Ideally this content should be integrated into the Wikipedia article, then the link would remain as a reference, but in some cases this is not possible for copyright reasons or because the site has a level of detail which is inappropriate for the Wikipedia article.

6. Sites with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article, such as textbooks or reviews.
