(Seba - when I saw the comment I thought you meant Pacifico to the racetrack...) Let's see:

  • Cabildo & Congreso to Obras: 15 min
  • Cabildo & Congreso to River: 25 min using the Quinteros diagonal smartly

Nah, de Pacifico a los burros si es cortito. :)
I think obras might be at the same distance...
  • River : Congreso, Libertador (1 blk), Udaondo (3 blk)
  • Obras : Congreso, Libertador (4 blk)
From Cabildo & Juramento es otra historia

Walk up Cabildo from Congreso to Ibera (sp?) and then Ibera to Libertador => You're in Obras. (This sends shivers down my spine. I walked that way from the 60 bus stop to see Almendra's reunion in 79, Zitarrosa, Tarrago, Los Redondos...) It's roughly 15 minutes provided you do it before hitting the 4brick.
Now, going to River would be: walk Congreso, cross the tracks, turn right, go till FD Roosevelt (the street before Monroe), left, and cross Libertador to meet Quinteros. It IS a shorter way from Barrancas, but not from C&J, as Juramento and Congreso are both 4 blocks from Monroe. You also avoid hitting Chinatown and the "choripanes & tinto" of Barrancas station, which could be tempting to some...
If I've said something idiotic here, well, I've been living outside BsAs ever since 1990... elpincha 16:31, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
