Linköpings FF

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linköpings FF (locally know as LFF) is the premier men's football team in Linköping, Sweden, which currently plays in the Swedish second division.

Although Linköping is the fifth biggest city in the country, it continues to lack a first-class men's team. The town is prominent in both hockey (Linköpings HC) and women's football (Linköpings FC). The hockey and women's football teams cooperate intimately, sharing both directors and sponsorships, but so far men's football has been excluded from such cooperation.

The team play in red shirts. A lion forms its logo, as is the case with both the city and the other sports teams. It has long aimed at securing a place in Superettan, the Swedish first division, but so far all endeavours have failed. Linköpings FF play their home-games at Folkungavallen.
