Line em Up is a pricing game on the American television game show The Price Is Right. Debuting on March 10, 1998, it is played for a car plus three additional prizes - a prize worth between $10 and $98, and two more worth between $300 and $1,000.

[edit] Gameplay

The contestant is shown a gameboard, bearing the prices of the three smaller prizes and the first and last digits of the car's price. It is up to the contestant to figure out the middle three digits.

To do this, the contestant must correctly align the markers which have the smaller items' prices on them, so that the price of the car reads down the center. The three-digit items determines the second and fourth digit of the car's price, while the two-digit price provided choices for the car's third digit.

After lining up the choices, host Bob Barker announces how many digits are correct. Having all three digits correct wins everything; however, if any of the digits are wrong, he is told how many numbers are correct and then directed to make changes (without being told which ones are wrong).

The contestant could still win the car and the other gifts if the car's price was right after the second attempt. However, if the price remained incorrect, he loses everything.

[edit] Trivia

  • Line em Up's reveal changed at the start of 33rd season. In the original reveal, the car was shown, it was described, and then the three prizes were shown in another door and described while the car music continued to play.
The new reveal reverses this process, as well as which doors the prizes are behind; additionally, the three smaller prizes now have their own music separate from the car cue. Many times, after the announcer describes the car, the camera shows a close-up of the Line em Up logo and then zooms out to reveal the board.
  • Line em Up uses the same "think music" as Push Over; however, for the first three months it was played, it used the same music heard in Check Game.
