Linde AG

Linde AG is the registered company name of the global industrial gases company now known as The Linde Group. Linde AG shares are traded on all the German stock exchanges and also in Zürich with the symbol LIN, and the Linde share price is included in the DAX 30 index.
Prior to its acquisition of The BOC Group in September 2006, Linde AG comprised of three principal business areas: industrial gases, engineering and materials handling.
On September 6, 2006 the company was reshaped and relaunched, with the combined gas and engineering activities of BOC and Linde brought together under the title The Linde Group, and the materials handling division of Linde separated and rebranded as KION Group. The KION Group was sold to KKR and Goldman Sachs on 5th November 2006.
With the acquisition of The BOC Group, The Linde Group has become the largest industrial gas company in the world. In 2005, Linde AG and BOC together had 21% of the world's market in industrial gases followed by Air Liquide with 19%, Praxair with 13%, Air Products with 10%, Nippon Sanso with 4%, Air Gas with 3% and Messer with 1%.
