The Lincoln Saltdogs are an independent minor league baseball team based in Lincoln, Nebraska. From 2001 to 2005, the Saltdogs were members of the independent Northern League; they left the Northern League after the 2005 season (along with the St. Paul Saints, Sioux City Explorers and the Sioux Falls Canaries) to found the American Association.
The Saltdogs were created when the Madison Black Wolf folded and the team move to Lincoln. The Saltdogs play their home games at Haymarket Park.
