[edit] Summary
Arms of the County council of Lincolnshire, Parts of Lindsey, granted by the College of Arms 2nd October 1935.
The arms show a Viking ship on waves for the area's history and maritime heritage; and a bull's head and wheatsheaves for agriculture. The crest represents the county's industries - two arms holding a chain. The links of the chain are also a pun on the county name - "Lincs". The laurel wreath is for Alfred Lord Tennyson, poet laureate.
