Limba Ram

Limba Ram is the most well known archer of India. He represented India in three Olympics. At Barcelona Olympics he missed the medal by one point in the 70-meter segment . He helped India finish fourth in Beijing Asian Games in 1990. He equalled the world record in the Beijing Asian Championship in 1992 in 30 meters event to bag a gold medal.
The Government of India honoured him with Arjuna award in 1991.
Born in Rajasthan in a tribal family Limba Ram was groomed by Sports Authority of India under Special Area Games Programme.
After remaining unemployed for a few years Limba Ram is currently working as Sports officer in Punjab National Bank and is preparing for World Cup 2007 and 2008 Beijing Olympics .
