She competed for the United States in the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, USA in the 4 x 400 metres where she won the gold medal with her team mates Sherri Howard, Olympic 400m championValerie Brisco-Hooks and 400m silver medalist Chandra Cheesborough.
