LIFE (charity)

LIFE is the UK's largest charity specialising in pregnancy and abortion counselling. LIFE was founded in 1970 by Jack Scarisbrick and his wife. The organization's goals include:
- Opposing abortion;
- Offering moral and financial support to young women dealing with unplanned pregnancy;
- Providing post-abortion counselling;
- Giving talks and running seminars in schools on such topics as abortion, teenage sexual health, relationships, cloning and In vitro fertilisation.
LIFE operates through around 70 Care Centres in the UK which provide counselling, free pregnancy tests, and educational resources. The organisation, through LIFE Housing, operates over 30 houses all around the United Kingdom which provide accommodation for pregnant women and mothers with young children who are in need of help with housing.
