Lietuvos Rytas

Lietuvos Rytas (lit. Lithuanian Morning) is a Lithuanian daily newspaper, printed in Vilnius. It is the biggest quality newspaper in Lithuania; its biggest competitor is Respublika (Lithuanian newspaper).
The newspaper sponsors basketball team BC Lietuvos Rytas.
In the early days of Lithuania's independence from the Soviet Union, Lietuvos Rytas was involved in some political scandals. Most notably, in 1995 a new office was bombed. The criminals were never found and prescription period of 10 years has ended.
