Libro d'Oro

The Libro d'Oro (Italian: Golden Book) is a list of the local nobility.
It existed in many Italian states and cities. The most famous is the Golden Book of the Venetian nobility. The Venetian authorities created Golden Books even on the Ionian Islands so as to register the local nobility. The Libro d'Oro of Corfu began in 1572.
