Liam Dickinson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Liam Dickinson (born 1985 in Salford, Greater Manchester) is an English football player. He plays as a striker for Stockport County, whom he joined at the very end of 2005 from local side Woodley Sports. His tally of 7 goals at the end of the 2005-06 season played a large part in the club's survival in League 2. Liam went to Hope High School in Salford, the same school as Manchester United's Phil Bardsley. Before joining Woodley, Liam played his junior Club football for local teams, but enjoyed most success with Barr Hill Lads Club. Some of his team mates included Mark Howard and Adam Eckersley of Manchester United, and many more including Michael Brierley (Liverpool), Matthew Burke (Blackpool) and Adam Croucher, who used to play for Stockport at Youth level. Liam is a down-to-earth young man and still regularly sees the local lads. He hasn't let being signed for Stockport change him, as is still clear from his close friendship with old friends.
