LHS Telekom

LHS Telekom is an independent software vendor (ISV) who provides telecom billing and customer care systems for wireless, wireline, and IP telecommunication service providers.
- Locations: LHS’ headquarters is based in Frankfurt, Germany. The company has offices in Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Malaysia, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.
- Products: LHS’ main product is BSCS (Business Support and Control System), an end-to-end rating, billing and customer care system for telecommunication operators. In its latest version (BSCS iX), the rating and billing part of BSCS are also available as stand-alone components. Additionally, LHS offers products for voucher & recharge management and mediation.
- Clients: LHS has a large international customer base, including operators like América Móvil, Cosmote, E-Plus, Globalstar, Nextel, Orange, TIM, T-Mobile, Turkcell, and Wataniya Telecom.
- CEO: Wolfgang Kroh is the Chief Executive Officer of LHS. Kroh was Senior Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA from 1997-2000. He rejoined the company as Chief Operating Officer in 2006. Prior to his recent appointment, Kroh was Managing Director of the German subsidiary of EMC Corporation.
- History: LHS was founded in 1991 in Germany from a group of former IBM managers. In 1997, LHS Group Inc. went public at Nasdaq and later also at Neuer Markt, Germany. In 2000, Sema acquired LHS Group Inc. In 2001, Sema was taken over by Schlumberger. In subsequence, the entity was renamed to SchlumbergerSema. In 2003, Schlumberger divested from all sectors except their core business, oil field services and equipment. SchlumbergerSema was separated into a product house and the system integration business. In 2004, General Atlantic, LLC and LHS Acquisition GmbH, both amongst the original share holders of LHS Group Inc., acquired the product house.
- Awards: LHS was awarded “Best Billing or Customer Care Solution” by the GSM Association (GSMA) in Cannes in 2005, and won the IIR World Billing Awards for its "Overall Best Contribution to Billing" in London in 2005 and 2006.
