LG KG800 is a GSM Tri-Band mobile phone manufactured and sold by LG Electronics. The KG800 is a 'slider' style phone that harbors heat-sensitive touch buttons on its face, which activate upon sliding the phone open. It is this innovation in design that has garnered the KG800 such high levels of popularity. A slightly modified version of it is currently being sold by Rogers Wireless in Canada.

[edit] Brief Background

The KG800 was originally released as a Cyon-brand phone, labeled as the "Chocolate" and popularized in South Korea. The phone sold at alarming rates, becoming one of the most popular and highest selling mobile phones to ever hit the Korean market. Since then, the phone has been converted from a CDMA phone into a GSM phone, has undergone slight physical modifications, and more substantial specification changes before being released globally. A more modified version of the CDMA phone was released in North America as the LG Chocolate (VX8500).
