Lexington-class fleet carrier

The Lexington-class fleet carrier is a fictional starship in the Wing Commander Universe. This class is the second most formidable warship in the arsenal of the Terran Confederation. The Lexington carriers' main assets are its extensive complement of fighters: 100 fighters and bombers (Arrow light fighters, Hellcat medium fighters, Thunderbolt heavy fighters, and Longbow bombers) and 20 support shuttles and miscellaneous utility craft. However, they are 925 meters long, and also possess 12 heavy laser turrets and 3 anti-starfighter IFF missile turrets. These behemoths are 95,000 tons, have a crew of 4,000, have a cruise velocity of 100 kps, have a maximum velocity of 120 kps, have phase shielding equivalent to 40 meters of armor plating, and have 15 meters of armor.
They also have a primary hangar bay and two secondary hangar bays. All of them are interconnected. This is a unique feature because if two hangars are hit, flight operations can still be run from the third undamaged hangar bay.
The Lexington-class's only defeciency is the amount of money needed to produce it. However, its construction has been streamlined so that it costs less and can be made faster.
