Lexi

Lexi Walker is a character on the telenovela (soap opera), Fashion House. She is played by actress Erika Schaefer.

[edit] The able (and also underhanded) assistant

Lexi Walker, a Harvard graduate, was formerly the secretary-assistant to fashion mogul, Maria Gianni. Normally shy and very reserved, Lexi, however, lived for her work.

She had been used as a pawn by her scheming boss to get her way. Notably, she tried to push Lexi and her son, Luke as a couple, because Maria knew that she had a crush on him.

To achieve this, Maria drugged one of Luke's drinks with rohypnol, the date-rape drug. However, Lexi, who had more honesty than Maria gave her credit for, was dead set against the idea of manipulation to get what she wanted. However, Maria insisted.

Lexi and Luke went to his loft, although nothing happened. At first, Lexi had alienated Michelle Randall Miller because of this, but eventually, she convinced Michelle that she was telling the truth. Michelle eventually returned to Luke, and were happier than ever, despite Maria's ire and Lance Miller's anger.

She counted Harold and Hans, Maria's designers, and Michael Bauer, Luke's best friend and Gianni photographer, as her friends. However, she angered Tania Ford, an arrogant and self-destructive model, by telling her that Maria didn't feel that she should be in the Face of Gianni Competition.

Tania came to the office and in full view of everyone, called her a skank (her favorite epithet of choice) and slapped her in the face. This made Lexi feel awful, because, for all her abilities, she had extremely low self-esteem.

Eventually, though, Lexi bloomed and blossomed and showed Maria and those who have hurt her, that she could also hurt them right back. As it turned out, Lexi finally had that chance.

She stole some files and contacts in the fashion industry from Maria's files, and gave them to Michelle, now Maria's competition. She did this for she knew that they would gladly do business with Michelle, and not with Maria.

For this perfidy, she was fired after she and Maria had a blistering argument, and was forcibly escorted from the House of Gianni by security.

At the end the angry Maria threw the laptop (which she sneered was Gianni property anyway) to the ground in anger, but not before Lexi took the disk that had saved everything. This made Lexi Maria's enemy.

Lexi worked with Michelle, as a partner in Michelle Miller Designs, which proved helpful in boosting not only Michelle's confidence, but also her own confidence. Lexi became one of Michelle's closest friends, aside from Nikki Clark.

She proved to be indispesable in helping her get over the shooting of Gloria Thompson's son Alec, so much so that she wants to make sure that Michelle wasn't rattled.

She almost angered Michelle by saying that Luke is a distraction, yet, after explaining that after the show, Luke would still be there, does Michelle relent and throws herself into getting ready for the show.

Lexi's unswerving loyalty and protectiveness of Michelle and her intellectual property was one of her best traits. It was her and William who discovered that Michelle's ex-husband Lance Miller and the conniving Maria who had stolen her designs and had them leaked to the media who then adversely criticized them.

With her and Michelle in a two-way equal business partnership, Lexi found her station in life, at last. Although she still had issues with Maria, Lexi is not cowed by her any longer.

Lexi had proven adept at getting even with her scheming former boss. After she attempted to sabotage her photo shoot, she and Maria got into a blistering fight, hoping to destroy each other.

At first, Michelle had no desire to get into destroying Maria by using Maria's tactics, but eventually she plans to help her partner and friend in getting rid of her main competition once and for all. It wasn't until Michelle's first fashion show, that Lexi's last name, Walker, was revealed.

Since William's arrest, Michelle Miller Designs' assets had been frozen (and would say is out of business), however, Lexi's business acumen, from her Harvard education, had come into play. She went to work stright away to find another backer and her efforts proved fruitful.

The determined woman aimed to make sure that the company she and Michelle are in will be a success, despite William's arrest and Maria's often brazen attempts to belittle them.

However, Lexi had shown she could also be very conniving. She teamed up with former adversary Maria to leverage Michelle out of her own company, giving Maria 70% of Michelle Miller Designs, which she ultimately changed the name to Lexi Walker Designs.

The betrayal angered Michelle and caused her to be thrown out of her own company. For what Lexi and Maria did to her, Michelle vowed to make both of them pay dearly.

For Michelle, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. After she was thrown out, Maria (who was overtly gloating to her, not even hiding her glee) and an already furious Michelle got into a vicious catfight in the middle of a fountain near where she used to work. It took Luke to tear Michelle away from Maria, and to help get her dryed off.

Lexi, gleefully egged on by Maria, had stepped on the wrong person; and if she knew what was good for her, she would be wise to steel herself for the consequences.

Lexi, however, felt the sadness that only a certain few knew, when Maria was shot and killed on the runway at her last fashion show. Her moaning that "she can't be dead, she's Maria Gianni." infuriated Michelle to the point that if she didn't keep quiet, Michelle wouldn't be responsible for her actions.

Presumably, Lexi became another Maria Gianni, losing her soul to become Los Angeles' new fashion queen and even more evil than Maria had ever been, and it was clear that she had learned her lessons well from the late and hated Maria Gianni. The transformation had become complete.

Lexi Walker had discovered that she learned from Maria, perhaps too well, lessons on how not to treat people. She did that very thing to Harold and Hans, who wanted a job, but she dismissively denied them, and then yelled at them to get out of her office before she set security on them. Harold summed up his feelings about Lexi thusly, "You are no Maria Gianni. Because she had talent, and you don't even have that!"

She may be Los Angeles' newest fashion queen, but Lexi Walker was seen as what she really was. A redoux of Maria Gianni without any of her talent; and even worse than she ever was.
