Lewis B. Smedes

Lewis B. Smedes (1921 — 2002) was a renowned Christian author, ethicist, and theologian in the Reformed Tradition. He was a professor for twenty-five years at Fuller Theological Seminary.

Smedes graduated from Calvin College (B.A.), Calvin Theological Seminary (B.D.), and the Free University of Amsterdam (Th.D). He has taught at the Free University of Amsterdam, Calvin College, and Fuller Theological Seminary, where he was Professor of Theology and Ethics Emeritus.

Smedes was a widely-read author. His 15 books, including the popular Forgive and Forget, covered "hot button" issues for evangelical Christians, including sexuality and forgiveness.
