Lewis (known as Inspector Lewis in the US) is a British television drama made as a spin-off from Inspector Morse. Kevin Whately reprised his character Robbie Lewis, who had been Morse's sidekick in the original series. The drama was written by Stephen Churchett, with Morse creator Colin Dexter in a consultant's role.

The show attracted 11 million viewers when it was first broadcast on ITV1. As a result, ITV have announced three new episodes, again starring Kevin Whately, Laurence Fox, Clare Holman and Rebecca Front.[1]

It was released on Region 1 DVD on September 12, 2006, renamed Inspector Lewis,[2] after first being aired on PBS on July 30, 2006.[3] The title was also changed for the opening titles. It will be released in the UK on 8 January 2007.[4]
