Leviathan is a black metal band from San Francisco, California, USA.

Leviathan was formed in 1998 by Wrest. Wrest records and plays all instruments including vocals entirely on his own. Although he has done collaborations with the band Sunn O))), and is a member of the band Twilight. Wrest also plays and records everything in Lurker of Chalice.

Wrest - all vocals, guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, synthesizers, sound effects, etc. Note: All recordings except for the Leviathan/Sapthuran were recorded with electric V-Drums.

Despite having recorded a large number of works, Leviathan has only two full-length albums to date both of which were released by Moribundcult. There has been a total of 15 demos released to date. These demos have been distributed as both tapes and cdrs.
