Levi is one of the biggest ski resort in Finnish Lapland. Levi is located in Kittilä municipality and it is served by Kittilä airport and Kolari train station.
The Levi fell is 531 meters above the sea level. There are 48 skiing slopes (15 with lighting) and 26 skiing lifts in Levi. The only Gondola lift in Finland is situated in Levi.
Most slopes are blue or red but there are also four black slopes for expert. The highest vertical drop is 325 meters and the longest slope is 2,500 meters long. The longest ski lift is about 1,636 meters long. There are one superpipe, one halfpipe, one snow park, 10 children's slopes and seven slope restaurants in Levi.
The skiing and snowboarding season in Levi is very long. It may last from mid October to the beginning of June.
Other possible activities in Levi are cross-country skiing, snowmobile safaris, biking, husky dog safaris, fishing, hiking and canoeing. There are 230 kilometers cross-country skiing tracks and 750 kilometers snowmobiling tracks in Levi. If you like to find the peace of mind, you can take snow shoes and walk to the nearest fell Kätkätunturi. Kätkätunturi is located west of Levitunturi and it is 504,6 m high and 7 km long.
Levi has been chosen four times as the domestic skiing resort of Finland.
Snow Village Lainio is situated near Ski Resort Levi. It is possible to see snow buildings, stay overnight in a snow hotel or have wedding ceremonies in Lainio Snow Village.
