Level II trauma center

In the United States a Level II trauma center provides Emergency medicine to trauma patients who do not need the services of a Level I trauma center.

A Level II trauma center is required to have a certain number of surgeons and anesthesiologists on call 24 hours a day.

Hospitals are designated as a Level II trauma center by the American College of Surgeons for a period of three years.
