Levar Woods

LeVar Woods, born on March 15, 1978, is a NFL linebacker for the Detroit Lions He is 6'3 and weighs 245 pounds. Woods previously attended college at Iowa and played with the Arizona Cardinals from 2001 to 2004.

Woods attended West Lyon High School in Inwood, Iowa and was a letterman in football, basketball, and track. LeVar Woods graduated from West Lyon High School in 1996.

Woods attended the University of Iowa, and was a letterman in football. In football, he was a two-year starter as an outside linebacker. He finished his spectacular college career with four sacks and 165 tackles. As a senior, he was an All-Big 10 Conference second team selection, and was given the Hayden Fry Extra Heartbeat Award (given to the Univ. of Iowa player who demonstrates extraordinary effort on the field).
