Lessines

Lessines is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. On January 1, 2006 Lessines had a total population of 17,848. The total area is 72.29 km² which gives a population density of 247 inhabitants per km². Birthplace of Rene Magritte, the famous Surrealist painter.
