The lesser white-toothed shrew Crocidura suaveolens is a tiny shrew found in Europe. Its preferred habitat is woodland. A distinct subspecies is the Scilly shrew, found on the Isles of Scilly, to which it is presumed to have been introduced. Unusually for the species, the Scilly shrew forages on beaches.
