Leslie Schofield

Leslie Schofield (born in Oldham, Lancashire) is a British actor who is most famous in the UK for his role as Jeff Healy in the popular soap opera, EastEnders. His character is perhaps best remembered for proposing to Pauline Fowler only to be turned down. He joined EastEnders in 1997 and then left in 2000. He also played Pat Evans' ex-husband Brian Wicks in 1988.

Schofield also appeared as an Imperial Officer aboard the doomed Death Star in George Lucas' first released Star Wars film, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, in 1977. He also appeared in The Star Wars Holiday Special, as the producers used stock footage from A New Hope in some scenes.

He also plays Len in The Smoking Room, the father in Jonny Briggs, and has appeared in two Doctor Who episodes, namely The War Games in 1969 and The Face of Evil in 1977 (playing two different characters).
