Lesley University is a private university with campuses in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded as Lesley College in 1909, its original mission was to educate women to be kindergarten teachers. Lesley College has since expanded to provide several majors in the fields of education, counseling, human services, global studies, art therapy, and management. The university also offers post-graduate programs in numerous fields at several locations around the country. In 1998, Lesley College merged with The Art Institute of Boston (AIB). Founded in 1912, AIB grants Baccalaureate and post-Baccalaureate degrees. Along with the graduate programs, these colleges emerged as Lesley University in 2001. In 2005, Lesley College became a co-educational institution.
The university is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

- Doble, Wolfard: These two residence halls have balconies
- Mackenzie, Malloch: These two dorms are located above the Student Center, and contain 6 floors of dorms. The 6th floor of Mackenzie is substance free living.
- White: The most traditional residence hall, this residence hall is located above the dining hall. White hall consists of 3 floors of dorms as well.

- Jenkes, Kirkland, Wilson, & Mellen: Upperclassmen and Undergradute houses located around the main campus
- 35 Mellen: A recently-built house on campus that is mainly occupied by undergraduate Art Therapy Majors.
- Reed: Usually reserved for AIB freshmen or transfer students, Reed House is three stories and located near the main campus.
- Sacramento: This is an all-female house.
