Lesbœufs

Lesbœufs is a commune of the Somme département in northern France.
The little village of Lesbouefs has one feature of interest to outsiders, the Guards cemetery. Some 16 kilometres north east of Albert, it was attacked By 'The Guards' on the September 15, 1916 and captured eight days later.
The cemetery, designed by Sir Herbert Baker, holds more than three thousand allied soldiers from a number of regiments. Wheelchair access is not possible.
