Les Vikings de Guadeloupe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Les Vikings de Guadeloupe were a French Antillean mini-jazz and cadence band. The members included Pierre-Eduard Decimus (later a founder of Kassav') and Dominican singer Gordon Henderson. The band is best known for their driving rhythms and extremely complex chord progressions. Their drummer was known to play often in the 3:4 polyrhythm, making the music very complex and beautiful.
