[edit] Story

The Vineans prepare to return to their home planet, but first they must investigate whether is it is still habitable. Khany invites Yoko, Vic and Pol to join her and a few other Vineans in a faster-than-light vehicle that will bring them to Vinea's solar system in the M33 galaxy within two months. To their surprise, Vinea still exists, although it now has a synchronous rotation around its primaries. More surprises follow in rapid succession as Yoko and Khany find that the planet has acquired an artificial climate and is governed by a corrupted artificial intelligence. With the help of the artificial memory of Sadar, Khany's father, Yoko and her friends overthrow the AI's rule. Sadar's memory then guides them to a city on the arctic side of Vinea, a shelter filled with survivors in suspended animation. One of the first to be awakened is Synda, Khany's mother.
