Leslie Roy Foote (August 20, 1924 – April 11, 2006) was an Australian rules footballer in the Victorian Football League.
[edit] Football career
Foote debuted with the North Melbourne Football Club in 1941 at just 16 years of age. He won three best and fairest awards with North Melbourne and was famous for his balking and dodging skills. He took up a captain-coach position with Berrigan, NSW for two years before returning to the VFL to captain-coach St Kilda in 1954. He won the St Kilda best and fairest award in 1954.
